iOS8 iPhone 6 plus - wifi woes

Several people have posted this issue. I have it as well. It appears it is an iOS8 issue, however it could be related to the iPhone6/6plus. I am using the iPhone6, so just waiting for an update to the OS seems to be the best bet.

I have an iPhone 5 and mine is doing it too. Chalk it up to iOS8

I've been having this same issue a couple times per day on my 6 Plus. I've been resetting the network settings which temporarily fixes the wifi connectivity issue. It seems odd though as my wife has a 5s on iOS 8 and has no issues staying connected to wifi.

Got the same issue.

Temporarily resolved it by rebooting the phone. Currently downloading the new patch IOS 8.0.2 hopefully it can solve this problem.

Yep. Same problem here. Just experienced it again a few minutes ago. My wife's iPhone 6 is ok but my 6 Plus has the issue. Disconnects from wifi and can't reconnect unless I reboot.

Same problem here. I need to reboot the phone 3 or 4 times a day

Just read this thread, rebooted and fixed - temporarily I guess!!

Thought it was my wifi.

Hopefully this will be fixed quickly in 8.0.3.

The DNS 8.8.8.8 option seemed to fix the Wi-Fi losing activity on my iPhone 6 Plus (UK) but it didn't resolve the Wi-Fi just dropping out fully. Even with the new DNS setting on my phone's connections ( not from the router) the Wi-Fi dropped out fully and would not find anything when searching unless I restarted the phone. This is a big issue and very annoying. Does anyone think the Wi-Fi cutting out and not being able to find networks is a hardware issue or still related to 8.0.2?

Has anyone found a temporary fix for the Wi-Fi completely cutting out?

Just to note when the Wi-Fi does work I have never had slow speeds. Its always blazing fast.

Any comments / suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm in the United Stated and I have the same problem with my iPhone 6 plus. I've done ever kind of reset possible to no avail. I think going to the apple store will be pointless since it seems the problem is so wide spread. I personally think it has something to do with the software and the NFC antenna.

Have you guys tried disabling "Wi-fi Networking" under:

Settings>Privacy>Location Services> System Services

My iPhone 6 has not lost wifi since I toggled that off. Worth a try.

This didn't work for me. The problem goes beyond that point now.

How's eveyones plus's behaving?

Mines cutting out and needing a reboot about 2-3 times a day at the mo.

Really at loss at what to do as my return date is Monday 6th Oct!

I'm having this problem as well. I just received the iPhone 6 and downloaded iOS8.02. My phone can rarely find my home wifi and when it does, it says the password I am entering is wrong (which it isn't). Basically, I can't use wifi at home, which is where I need it the most.

I have the same issue with the iPhone 6 Plus. Have to do a hard reset a few times a day, even with the latest IOS 8.02 update. Is Apple working on this? Or do they think they resolved the issue with 8.02?

Same problems here. Randomly drops wifi, then when you search for networks; nothing found.

REsetting temporarily fixes it.

The Wi-Fi drop outs continue! Spoke to an AppleCare UK representative yesterday and advised that I had tried all the possible steps to resolve. He agreed and said it could only be down to hardware so best to get a replacement.

I honestly don't think it will resolve the issue but the problem is the advisor said I was the first one to report wifi issues so I don't think they are going to acknowledge any time soon!

What to do as my return date is Monday 6th and I'm on my third iPhone 6 Plus 64GB -

1. Had yellow screen in bottom left hand corner and also dropped connection once ( 8.0)

2. Had a yellow screen and decolouring across the whole screen (8.0)

3. My current one - great screen but continuous Wi-Fi drop out issues (8.0.2)!!

Do you think its worth risking it for another replacement?!
