iOS8 iPhone 6 plus - wifi woes

Hello,

I was wondering if any other iPhone 6 Plus owners on iOS 8 are having similar problems to me.

Sporadically the wifi drops and no wifi networks are found - doing a hard reset (holding the power button and home button together for 10 secs or so until the white apple screen comes up) seems to resolve this. I have done a full factory reset and restored a recent back up to no avail.

Cheers,

Rick.

My Asus rt-N66U was also workings great on the 5ghz once I did a reset to default settings, that seemed to fix my slow and dropping wifi.

Since then I decided I needed a little more range and didn't want to install my old 2.4ghz repeater so I also bought the AC68U. I thought the N66U was impressive until I got the AC68U. Once I found the best channel to penetrate my walls on 5ghz it's been impressive. My 5ghz signal goes just as far as the 2.4ghz. I walk 5 houses down before I loose the signal. I think the only reason it switches off wifi is because the phones wifi is not string enought to reach my house at that distance.

Its a great router, can't wait to try the USB 3 port with my usb 3 external SSD drive for a network Time Machone backup.

When is there going to be a class action lawsuit against Apple for this? I also went through countless hours of diagnostics, resets, erasing, 8.1.1 update, etc. I am tired of being lied to and having my valuable time wasted on "fixes" that they know won't work. This is too expensive a device for Apple not to give customers a compatible router free of charge or pay their usage overages to their data providers!!! If they don't fix this soon, I predict it will be the downfall of Apple.

I am having same problem as well. All other Windows Phones, Android Phones work over the same Wi-Fi network, except Apple phones. That *****. I am definitely going to buy different phone next time. I am not spending my lifetime diagnosing this stupid issue which Apple doesn't seem to realize (and for which it's going to loose so many customers going forward)!

My iphone 6 plus Was suffering from that issue, even running iOS 8.4, i Have restarted device, done all internet fixes and even restored until i found a solution which i had tried by letting your iphone battery empty, then put the iphone on charge until it the battery is 100% without touching it and connecting it to wifi. then join after the battery is 100% to your wifi. and it would never disconnect again. From tommorow till today my wifi won't disconnect again!! Hope to fix this solution your wifi!
