My new Xquartz installation, 2.7.7 (xorg-server 1.15.2), does not seem to work with my ~/.Xresources. The previous version did work. I do not set anything complicated in .Xresource: only -fg, -bg, -sb, -sl, -geometry for xterm and emacs. Had the window manager or .xinitrc arrangement changed?

I had the same problem. When I upgraded to 10.9.5 there were also updates to command line tools, and a new version of Xcode. The .Xresources was only read correctly once I had opened the new version of Xcode and agreed to the licence agreement. Things now work as normal after when opening a new Xquartz terminal.
Thank you. This fixes .Xresources, but Xquartz still ignores ~/.Xclients. Any infor?
