How can I get rid of RECENTLY DELETED folder in my photos?

I don't need it at all, it just requires extra thousand touches to delete a photo. ***

I'm assuming it was added to a peace all those users who wanted to have a way to get back photos that they deleted by mistake.

Yes, not everybody needs a recently deleted bin, but for now all that can be done is to go into the Recently Deleted Album and Select all and then delete.

It may not be the best choice, but its the only one for now.

If you wish to send feedback to Apple about this, you can do so here:

Maybe they'll implement a way to turn it off in subsequent updates.

Turning it open by Default seems like a good thing for those who want this. But for people like us, who don't want to use it would like to see an option to disable it, it's called Flexibility.

And Apple has never been a big proponent of "Flexibility". I'm not sure why, after all these years, that comes as a surprise to anyone.

Perhaps if enough people complain, they will change it.

OK, here's how to delete them.

press "Select" in the top right corner

Then "Delete All" at top left.

I know, about as intuitive as advanced statistics - I'm not "selecting" anything. but hey, whatever random word in whatever random location is the trend lately.

Why you don't call it the "TRASH" and put "EMPTY TRASH" like the rest of your products I will never know.

I'm sure some soi-disant "brilliant designer" was thinking they won't have a job if they say just use a trash can.

But at least it's now 3 times harder to delete something, because, you know, stupid people.

The worst part for me is that there is a preview of the deleted photo as the folder icon. I can MAYBE understand having a trash for people who accidentally delete photos, and having to empty that trash can. But WHY would someone think it's a good idea to broadcast what's inside? Maybe some photos are deleted because...you know. You don't want them to be seen. They really need to change this feature, either by giving users the option to toggle it on or off, or by changing the display so you can't see the first photo in plain view
