I'd venture to say that those high level posters are somehow affiliated with Apple in some way.

How about we just ask them? Hey high level posters who keep parading your no scratch phones, are you affiliated with Apple? Are you in any way compensated for your presence on these forums?

No we are just volunteers and don't work for Apple. We learn from one another and share what little we know with others. We signed up the same way you did. When you help someone and they click the link where it says the information was helpful or solved you get points.

Level 8? really?

You guys really believe deep inside of you that you are helping others coming here and saying the opposite, there are users here who really have a problem and you come and say : Me and my friends don't have one that must be only you, stop whining!, use a screen protector in the future problem solved, wow!.

At no point did I say anything of the sort. You don't know what I think about this issue. I merely pointed out, after you rudely chastised someone, that everyone can post their opinion here, even if they disagree with you.

You knew exactly what you meant by that emoticon...so...lets stick with topic, please?.

I wasn't referring to any emoticon. But rather to the notion that I had suggested "Me and my friends don't have one that must be only you, stop whining!, use a screen protector in the future problem solved, wow!" I dislike people attributing things to me that I did not say.

And, no, emoticons are open to interpretation. I have no idea what you meant. I ignored it. Use your words.

The agenda here asking anyone else have the same issue.
I do have the scratches and believe i Do Take care of my new iphone 6Plus.

However, disappointed to know it will be scratched in my pants or pockets even without ANY objects in it.

I believe i living in a normal clean environment without dusts that much or that hard in my pockets.

Standard i BELIEVE it dropped for the screen resistant.

By posting here is sharing experience.

Hoping Apple do take some effort to see our reviews.

Does all owners shared the same problems?

Those who do, how do they get over it.

My needs is Apple do an replacement for me free.
But i'm a unlucky person who can't get it replaced for free but a fee.

But what i can do now is:

Pay to change the screen and uses a screen protector to prevent future from occurring again.
Lives with it till u bored or used to it.

Trade it off.

What will you do now if you were me?

I'm happy for those whose phones are good. But those who aren't.. What do you do now?

rbrylawski,

Apple already replaced my iPhone 6. But I bought a 6+ for my wife and it is already getting scratched up. do you know what really bothers me about your posts in this thread, Rb? it's that you come off as defensive like you're really trying to protect something. And it's YOU specifically that does that. There's something propaganda-esque about your expressions while your peers seem more stable and level-headed, but for some reason you're rubbing posters the wrong way and IMHO doing more harm than good. in any case, I'm not looking for sympathy. I just want what I paid for. That's not too much to ask as a loyal Apple customer.

Apple Insider weighs in. With a pic. Yeah - everyone whose phone has the scratches is careless or making it up. Everyone who is concerned is succumbing to hysteria. Not quite.

"AppleInsider has seen the issue first hand from a user who carries their phone in a microfiber satchel. In this case, as seen in the photo above, it appears as though the glass was perhaps raked against a hard, flat surface or etched with small debris, perhaps during polishing. The miniature trenches are deep enough to be felt with a thumbnail and can be seen when the display is turned off.

"There are any number of reasons as to why Apple's iPhone 6 is seemingly more prone to screen scratches. For one, the latest generation iPhone is the first to use a curved display glass with no bezel "lip" to protect against scrapes. Previous iPhones like the most recent iPhone 5s used flat pieces of glass surrounded by a thermoplastic peripheral material housed in a harder polymer wrap. This structure helped for shock protection, deflecting encounters with foreign objects and would keep the screen protected if laid down on its face.

" For the iPhone 6, Apple carried over the shock resistant thermoplastic material, but now has it sandwiched between the display assembly and phone body. The hard plastic side wall was also deleted in favor of a cover that curves toward the rounded aluminum chassis. While great for finger feel and gesture control, a curved edge design necessarily leaves the cover glass exposed to contact with hard surfaces."

Tried linking to the article again, but still getting an error message. The link to appleinsider.com seems to work. The story is currently on the front page of the site, with 140 comments.

I'll make you happy. I've stopped following this thread. It's a waste of time. For you, for me, for everyone who has scratches on their phone. This thread isn't going to make them go away and Apple's not going to magically change their policies.

I have said it before. I would not be happy if I had scratches on my phone. I know you think I'm defending Apple. I'm not. I'm just saying you have only the four options I listed above. Nothing more's going to magically happen on this subject.
