iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?

Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. Anyone else experiencing this?

Unfortunately, I am experiencing the same issue on my new iPhone6. For protection I purchased the leather cover from the Apple Store. Because of my experience with my previous iPhone5 which after more than two years doesn't have any screen scratches I did not get a specific screen protection. After a couple of days I already had a 1,5 cm long scratch although I take as good care of the iPhone6 as I did with the iPhone5. It is always in the front pocket without any keys or coins or anything that could possibly damage the screen. I am quite irritated as to why and how the scratch could have gotten onto the screen. With the iPhone5 I never had to worry about screen scratches.

Same issue here with my iPhone 6 128Gb. First scratch on the screen was visible after just 4 days of extremely careful usage. I always use my iPhone with the Apple Case and wear it in my front pocket, which is always empty. Scratches are barely visible, but they are present! With my iPhone 5, I never had a scratch on the screen nor on the casing, not even after two years of usage. I always take extreme care while using my iPhones!

Come on Apple, it is time to confess your sins and admit that you really screwed the pooch here. We all know you had issues with the cancellation of the sapphire screen, but that doesn't mean you can just bring a phone with an inferior screen because of a deadline. I would have waited a month or two if you would have given us a better screen (for instance Gorilla Glass 4).

Guess customer service and satisfaction has less priority at Apple these days, only thing that matters to you is your shareholders and your profits. Luckily, some of your competitors are closing the gaps and soon we will have a real choice again.

What a clown you are. Reporting/ discussing problems is precisely what the Apple forums are for. As you seem too dim to understand let me explain something. One scratch after a couple of days use = hundreds of scratches after a years use. Whilst anyone can live with the "odd" scratch hundreds of scratches after a year or so will render the phone useless and worthless. £699 is rather an expensive outlay for one years use.

Here we go again. Listen here while I repeat myself. Reporting a working phone is fine, accusing people of trolling/ lying or saying things like this:

"Look here kiddies, this is a real life example of people flocking together to complain about normal things. Or maybe it's hysteria? You should all go see your doctors..."

is not. Really why are you Apple fanboys getting so butthurt because people are calling out your beloved iPhone? Get a life.

Wow could you be any more biased? Hypocrite much? You accuse someone of "rudely chastising someone" because they said:

"Here you have some attention: If you have nothing worth saying please don't say anything at all".

which was in response to:

"Look here kiddies, this is a real life example of people flocking together to complain about normal things. Or maybe it's hysteria? You should all go see your doctors..."

Now come on use some common sense, which comment was ruder?

I disagree with the high ranking forum members' opinion that Apple will do nothing about this issue as mentioned in the Apple Insider:

"iPhone 6, 6 Plus owners complain of easily scratched screens" (google it)

because they have said:

"AppleInsider has reached out to Apple regarding the issue and will update this story when a reply is received."

Unlike the high rankers I believe Apple cares about feedback and will investigate. Most likely the next iPhone will have addressed this issue, and that's when I'll be buying.

Even I have been facing this plague of display scratching on New iPhone 6. I have also sent emails to APPLE and am still awaiting a revert from them.

Below is the mail I wrote to them.

> I, Kartik R Rao, write this mail from Mumbai, India with compete disappointment and lost belief in Apple products and its quality. There was a time when Apple would mean quality but now it only means hefty price with below mediocre quality.
>
> I had purchased an iPhone 6 64 GB space Gray in preorder launch in India and had got scratch guard (to protect against scratches) fixed on screen. After a few days of very protective and careful use, I discovered a few minute scratches and went to replace the scratch guard. To my horror, the scratches were not in scratch guard but it was the display that had scratches. I thought it was my bad luck and sold the device off at huge loss.
>
> Post that, I bought a new 128 gb gold iPhone 6. To my dismay I am again plagued with same problem of display scratching easily despite of taking atmost care of it. Also now I am plagued with battery issues as well with requirement of charging it atleast 3 times a day.
>
> Is this where Apple has gone down to. Such low quality products for a bomb price (almost $1200 for 128 GB and $1050 for 64GB). I have learnt my lessons and will keep away from Apple products for life.
>
> I am in such a situation that I am not sure what should I do? I have all Apple products including MacBook Air and have been using Apple products since past 4 years. My entire family uses Apple products.
>
> Your team in India will definitely not help me and instead put blame on me . Hence I am writing this mail to you. If you are serious about Indian market and want Apple to be taken seriously, then this is the time you act.
>
> I am in a fix as what has to be done. should I sell this device too and move on to Android or stick with Apple for life.
>
> Please help me sir.

Looks like Apple has produced a dud and is charging a bomb to its customers. On top of it, they are not bothered to respond to their customers as well.

They are responding but they also denied all responsible that cosmetic won't be their warranty coverages.

Not totally wrong for them, but what is your intention when you speak to them?

Mine agenda is to replace my screen and I fully understood the current screen *****.

IT is so poor that the sissy monkey glass I doubt it resistant can withstand hair rubs too.

I want apple prove me wrong that it only my iPhone got issue.

They denied me at service center and felt it my fault not put a screen protector.

Anyway.. Just wait a while more and I hope got enough people come with me to ask apple service center in groups since they felt it my issue only.

I'm not sure who you think said Apple doesn't care about feedback. Of course, they do. That's why they set up a dedicated Feedback page:

http://www.apple.com/feedback

What Apple doesn't do is read these threads for feedback. So, if you want Apple to be aware of your concerns, use the appropriate channel. Complaining (and I use that word in the non-perjorative sense) here will do little if any good.

Best of luck.
