iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?
Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. Anyone else experiencing this?

Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. It's not good for Apple
What you guys who have scratches need to do is take your phones in to an Apple store and show them your concerns. Anyone can make claims on the internet but the problem is how many of them are bogus and without any evidence the claims are not going to taken too serious. Show Apple your phones.
Here is some evidence for you. The only reason I haven't been to an Apple Store yet is cause it is 280 kilometers away from me. And yes, I have sent this pictures to an Apple Senior Advisor as well. I'm not making up stories and it isn't bogus. I actually love Apples products and I just want this problem fixed. I don't want to damage Apples reputation or anything. And yes, if needed, I will take that long journey to an Apple Store, yes.

Here we go again. Listen here while I repeat myself. Reporting a working phone is fine, accusing people of trolling/ lying or saying things like this:
"Look here kiddies, this is a real life example of people flocking together to complain about normal things. Or maybe it's hysteria? You should all go see your doctors..."
is not. Really why are you Apple fanboys getting so butthurt because people are calling out your beloved iPhone? Get a life.
If you're going quote something in response to me, it should be something I wrote, but the quote above was not written by me. I've never accused ANYONE of trolling. I do suspect there are some people who participate in this forum just for the fun of bashing Apple. I'm sure there are people who do this on Samsung, Sony and LG forums too.
What I have tried to say is that complaining about scratches on this forum isn't going to get anything fixed. The only way you can effect something is to go to Apple with your phones and show them to the Genius Bar. Or provide feedback directly to Apple via the feedback link: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
But complaining here isn't helping any of you.
Final Note: I won't participate in this thread UNLESS someone quotes me incorrectly, or addresses me directly.
Carry on.
According to AppleInsider Apple will be informed of this issue (sorry to repeat myself):
"AppleInsider has reached out to Apple regarding the issue and will update this story when a reply is received."
I personally spoke to a very helpful Apple employee over the phone about the issues and gave her the address of this thread. I am not bashing Apple, I think without Apple the marketplace would be very dull. I have a few years old iPod Nano that's been to the beach and really abused. The only mark is a slight scuff on the corner where I dropped it and it went skidding along the ground. Zero screen scratches. I can assure you I WILL be buying an iPhone as soon as the issue is resolved, be it a 6 (unlikely) or the next release (more likely).
I believe forums are for reporting problems and to share information so we realise we aren't the only ones with a particular issue. I also believe Apple will be grateful for the free feedback. Lastly it seems Apple will have to take note now that Appleinsider has found out about the issue (through this thread) and have contacted them for a response.
Already mentioned few pages of posts back. I did went to Apple and all they said is cosmetic not covered.
Denied with a strong sense of judgement it my fault!
Why no screen protector they even ask me.
So I still waiting to see here anyone more from Singapore that I can tag along and bang their table again.
Two weeks after I got my iphone 6 I had a long deep scratch on the screen. I called AT&T to exchange and was told that since it was 15 days after the purchase I would have to speak with Apple. I have a CaseMate protective case on it. This is ridiculous!
Could people who have posted recently post info about where they are and the manufacturing info about their phone, and also fill out the form that Mattiphone linked? Here is his post, at p. 46 of this thread:

Same here! Ive owned the 5, 5S and the iPad 3rd generation, haven't seen anything like this. A month with the iPhone 6 and the screen is visibly scratched, enough to feel it with my fingernail. Im a fanboy and take extremely good care of my apple products but very disappointed in this issue. When you buy a phone worth almost a 1000 dollars you expect it to be somewhat durable. I know to make it so "beautiful and light weight," it had to be slippery etc. but there is no excuse for manufacturing such a sensitive screen for a device you carry around with you almost 24/7. Apple should really fix this.
Add me to the list. I filled out feedback to apple and the spreadsheet. I came here because I noticed light surface scratches on the curved areas and one short scratch on the screen. I could not figure out where it came from but then thought it might be my rivets on my jeans, right side pocket is where I keep it by itself, I have for every iphone before it. I thought maybe because the iPhone 6 Plus is so big I might actually being hitting the rivets when I used to not with my old iPhone 5s. Or maybe I always hit them but the new phones are that much prone to light surface scratches? I have since switched my key fob to my right pocket and the iphone to left pocket, talk about muscle memory, this is tough!
I have had my iPhone 6 Plus for about a month now so I am probably outside of any return policy.
Out of curiosity, how long are you able to get your screen replaced for $129? Is that an entire first year service Apple offers? What is the option if I purchase the optional AppleCare because perhaps it makes more sense to go get that? The reason i ask is because if nothing comes of this and my phone looks awful I want to know my options.
Has anyone had success getting it replaced outside of 14 days without the extra applecare?
thank you
Bill
i am also having issues with my screen scratching on my iPhone 6 plus. I notice small hairline scratches all over my screen. I've never been into using a screen protector but I did not have these issues with my iPhone 5. I take very good care of it as far as not keeping it in pockets with keys or anything sharp.
I have had every phone since August 2007 (iPhone 2G). This new iPhone (I have the 6) scratched with no reason, so I took mine to the Genius Bar and showed them, got a new one, and put a screen protector on. I also put one on my wife's 6Plus although we never used them before. Problem solved. My guess is that the sapphire snafu caused a supply chain pickup and they had to punt and put in inferior glass.
Hiccup autocorrect.
My iPhone 6 was inside Otterbox commuter case yet I see bunch of them by edge of screen specially by bottom left headphones area! My wife's was in flip case and one side of her phone is like went through sandpaper for days. That's how bad it is. And she dose not want it anymore. So now I have extra phone sitting at home while I ended up paying for another android phone for her. This is not kool! I m going to look at my options including legal options
