iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?
Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. Anyone else experiencing this?

Can you tell us what you told them to make us exchanging your iphone ?? to which Apple Store have you been ?
I bought the iphone 6 last week, taking really good care of it and it has some scratches on the screen already. I have an iphone 4 for YEARS! and the screen is in perfect condition. This is the last time I buy an iphone.
LOL glad to know I got you riled up, even just a little bit 😊
i actually wasn't, and am currently not craving any attention, I was being realistic. This isn't a thread for people who want help, but for those who just need someone to complain about the same things as they are. After all, misery loves company. As someone pointed out, this thread represents less than .01% of iPhone 6's sold by the end of the year. Hate to break it to you, but apple will not take notice. There surely isn't anything any one of us can do for any one of you, so please, enlighten me on what exactly the purpose of this is, besides complaining. It's been stated repeatedly, but if it's that much of an issue to you guys, go pay to get it fixed. it wasn't apples fault that you scratched your phone last week, and it still won't be when you scratch it again next week. If you had kept your phone in a glass box since day one, it wouldn't have any scratches on it today, so why should Apple be held responsible for what people do with their phones after they are purchased. This isn't a technical issue we are talking about.
I have also had plenty of idevices throughout the years, and I find it hard to believe that iPods from years ago have no scratches whatsoever. All of mine have ended their lives with some amount of scratches, however light. Moreover, all were acquired from normal, everyday use, and I too have done well to protect my investments. I didn't go storming into an Apple Store demanding a new device. If you really can't handle some barely noticeable scratches, then maybe you should consider getting a device that doesn't use glass as its primary tactile component.

I believe forums are for reporting problems and to share information so we realise we aren't the only ones with a particular issue. I also believe Apple will be grateful for the free feedback. Lastly it seems Apple will have to take note now that Appleinsider has found out about the issue (through this thread) and have contacted them for a response.
Yes, Apple is looking for feedback. That's why they set up the Feedback page. I recommend you use it if you want Apple to know how you feel.
Best of luck.
Troll feeding time!
"Hate to break it to you, but apple will not take notice".
You make out it's OUR loss if Apple ignore this thread. How wrong can you be lol? Certainly not my loss my phone went straight back.
1-0 me. Furthermore it will be Apple's greater loss when they lose loyal customers over this issue. So rather than presume to talk on behalf of Apple let's wait and see. A well known magazine has already got involved and has approached Apple for a response. I firmly believe Apple will take notice, they won't say anything publicly but I am willing to bet this issue does not arise on the next iPhone.
"enlighten me on what exactly the purpose of this is, besides complaining".
Do you say this on EVERY thread that reports problems or are we just the lucky ones? The point is for people to share their concerns and talk about possible resolutions, NOT to complain/ whine etc. If you consider this thread such a waste of time, why are you here?
"if it's that much of an issue to you guys, go pay to get it fixed"
What, so it can just happen again the next day? Way to burn money.
"If you had kept your phone in a glass box since day one, it wouldn't have any scratches on it today".
Wrong again. Even things kept in boxes need dusting from time to time and thats all I did. Dust the phone after a few minutes test usage and voila! One scratch. New cars come with a paint and corrosion warranty so I really don't see much difference here. If the paint peeled off in a rain shower it would be repaired under warranty, and in much the same way the screen should be able to withstand normal usage, you know like old iPhones, Samsung Galaxies etc.
"I didn't go storming into an Apple Store demanding a new device"
Who did exactly?
I have already done that but thanks for the heads up.
Whodunnit ,
This is a discussion forum. It's for people to discuss topics of interest to them. Why for the love of a higher power would you call what we are doing here "complaining"? Your comment is so riddled with condescension and derisiveness it makes me wonder why you even care? At least of those of us who have had experiences with scratched iPhones have a VESTED interest in the matter and are seeking answers to this because Apple refuses to even acknowledge it. Poster's like you, I really don't know why you're even here. According to you, if there is nothing anyone on here can do for any of us, here's a tip pal -- break-time is over so go back to your Genius Bar station. LOL!

Sorry but I guess I just can't help myself......
You really need to read the Terms of Use you agreed to when you joined this forum. This is not by those Terms a "Discussion" forum. This a technical support forum. By the terms we all agreed to a question is supposed to be asked and an answer, if known, should be offered. Rants are against the TOU as are inflammatory and derogatory comments. The fact is the forum moderators are being VERY generous in not deleting half of the posts written in this thread or banning people for their rants. We are after all in Apple's house and we are supposed to play by their rules. So while you feel it's your 'right' to "discuss" you have misinterpreted the purpose of this forum.
Unfortunately I am having the same issue. Scratches on my iPhone 6. I take very good care of it. This is something worth following.

Apparently, reading comprehension is a bit of a problem, especially the part where I said I was using complaining in the non-perjorative sense. That means I was not using it in any negative way. There is nothing wrong with complaining. However, it's important to recognize when and where it will accomplish what you want. Voicing your complaints (does that phrasing work better for you?) here is not productive. It doesn't let Apple know that you have an issue. And, no, your fellow users here can't do anything about the issue.
This is a user-to-user technical support forum. It is not a place for people to "discuss topics of interest to them". I have a vested interest in the topic because I have an iPhone 6. And I'm posting with appropriate answers: submit feedback, take your phone to the Genius Bar. It is, however, your time to waste discussing the issue here. I've no interest in stopping you. However, I will continue post what I see as productive and appropriate responses. Should you disagree with them, you are more than welcome to ignore them.
The only people on these forums who work for Apple, by the way, are the Hosts, who rarely make appearances and the Community Specialists who have a very narrow remit. They answer a specific range of questions in a couple of the forums if those questions have gone unanswered for more than 24-48 hours. So far, no one from either category has posted here.
Best of luck.
I have this problem with my 6+ too. Altough I've used it only for two weeks there is now a very big scratch in the center of the display.
(Hatte solch ein Problem mit meinem vorherigen iPhone 5 nie!)
I noticed scratches the day I received my replacement iPhone 6, which was yesterday. All I can think of doing something to my screen is using my microfiber cloth to clean the screen to put on the screen protector. Now scratches around the edges are showing up (places not covered by the screen protector). Not going to make a big issue about it, I'll just replace the screen if it gets bad enough. Hoping for a recall, or some sort of compensation though.
For people who are saying they have no scratches, my friend who has the iPhone 6 and mistreats (pockets it with keys, coins, dropped it in front of my eyes a couple of times) it without any screen protector on, and his is perfectly scratch-free. My first iPhone 6 didn't seem to scratch, either. My replacement, however, is already looking pretty bad. So there has to be a bad batch of displays that are circulating.
Well I was out to eat tonight and noticed a scratch on the phone. I have never had it in my pocket or dropped it or anything. Looking at the 5S I have had for a year doesn't have a scratch on it. This is BS, I think it's going back to best buy and maybe the end of the iPhone. I really don't want a $750 phone that scratches this easy
If Apple employees are recommendone screen savers then you know how far Apple has fallen since Steve Jobs passed (he was against them). I doubt this issue would have occurred under his watch (And we know it didn't the past 5 versions of the phone).
Apple has sold screen protectors in Apple Stores since iPhone was first released. They don't usually sell something they don't recommend. And where did you get it that Steve Jobs was against them? Apple actually installed the very first screen protector I ever had installed on an iPhone, the 3G.
