iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?
Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. Anyone else experiencing this?

We agree completely on what is scratching. It's the coating, not the glass.

I wish I knew why some phones scratch easily, while other's, like mine don't? I don't as some people have thought, discount the issue. And I'd be upset if my $750 phone scratched. It's just that there is no solution anyone can offer via this thread other than to take it to Apple and complain or use a good quality screen protector.
I think that's a fair assessment. I haven't used my phone any different than any other iPhone I've owned yet have no scratches. All I've ever used are bumper cases for the 4's and the Apple leather cases for the 5S and 6, all without any kind of screen protector. Even Corning says the Gorilla glass can be scratched but I'm wondering if some batches were not quite up to snuff thus easier to scratch. That's pure speculation on my part though as I have no inside information. But I agree. There's nothing can be done here and those with problems need to take their phones into Apple and show them. Internet hearsay doesn't carry much weight.
I've actually tried a couple screen protectors on my 6. None have met my expectations. I tried Zagg Glass and it doesn't seal all the way around, thus dust got underneath an edge. However, we put Zagg Glass on the other iPhone 6 we have (white face, not black like mine) and it sealed all the way around. I tried Armor Guard and hated how it felt to the touch. It has a rubbery feel and some orange peel effect. I tried Zagg HDX and it didn't work well either. So my phone's screen is naked, and it's likely going to stay that way. My phone is in the Apple Leather Case and then holstered in a leather belt holster when not in use. I've never put a phone in my pants pocket. I don't actually like anything in my pants pocket. Not keys, wallet, change. Anything. At this point, given how many times I've wiped my screen with a microfiber cloth and with no scratches, I'm not likely going to get any scratches.
and?? at the end the phone has scratches period.

It seems you haven't been paying attention. Take the phone to Apple. There's nothing anyone here can do for you.
Same here. Had the 5 and now my 6+ scratches a lot easier.
Same problem here :-( I've used the same or more care as the others iphones but this 6 has already a few scratches that you can see under some lighting conditions! I don't want to use screen protections and it doesn't fix the problem because a very little space between the protection and the end of the glass is exposed anyway!
I have the same problem.
Had an Iphone 3Gs for more than 4 years and it has one scratch due to a drop and nothing else. I take really good care of my 3 week old iphone 6, but in it's first week I found some some scratches on lower right corner. I even got a leather case from apple because I thought that was the problem but the scratches keep coming and I hate the ideia of putting a screen protector. I just hate them, that shouldn't be needed for a 700€ phone. No one I know that has a previous version of the iphone needed a screen protector.
Yes, had it for only few days and I already see a scratch in my screen. I take extremely good care of the phone. iPhone 6 plus!
Hi,
I have the same. Incredible. After 3 weeks. And more carefull with the phone than my iPhone4 (one small scratch after 3 years of heavy use)
I'm crazy if I ask what we can do now? Asl for a replacement I think is pointless because every iPhone I've seen has this problem... not because it's a big problem now, but I can't imagine how the display will be after a 1 or 2 years.... Brrrr.... 😕
The only thing you can do is use a screen protector. Luckily for me I noticed the scratch within the 14 day return period. Unless Apple release a statement acknowledging the problem and detailing the fix (not going to happen!) I won't be buying another iPhone 6. I will wait for the 6S and monitor the issue before buying, in the hope they addressed it.
I have had a 6 Plus which I returned due to scratches after only two 2 days of extremely cautious use. Now I have a 6 and noticed a light scratch on center of screen after 1 day and while it was in a microfiber Oakley bag the whole time while I waited to receive my LifeProof case.. This glass if really awful in comparison to every other iPhone model. I have had them all. Really *****. Put the 6 in a LifeProof day 2 and hope Apple comes up with a warranty remedy since both new different versions seem to exhibit the same "defect". Really stinks I was looking forward to scratch resistant glass. Almost like Apple is prepping us for their intro of super cool Sapphire in the next iPhone by giving us inferior glass in this version just to say it's 5 times more scratch resistant than iPhone 6 glass. 800 bucks down the drain. 😟
How about this, my iPhone 6 Plus screen shattered yesterday. I have only had it for 13 days. It was never dropped or damaged in any way. I made an appointment with the Genius (rude) bar for 2:00 today and they told me that by putting it in my front pocket, i caused excessive pressure on the phone and caused it to shatter and they have to charge me $129 TO FIX IT!!!! Ive had a 4, 4S, 5, and a 5s. Not once has there ever been as much as a tiny scratch on any of the phones in the four years that i have had them as i take very good care of my phone. Apple knows they have a serious problem wit this very expensive phone but wont admit it. It was made with substandard materials to make it lighter, thinner, and cheaper than the competition all at the expense of the consumer who they knew would go crazy over a product viewed on the internet and hyped up by their marketing company. Truth is, Its a cheap phone with a high price tag and their "GENIUSES" have been well trained to convince you that its your fault that the damage to their MOST EXPENSIVE PHONE on the market is all your fault. SHAME ON YOU APPLE!!! You had a good thing going and you ruined with greed deception. I CANT WAIT TO GET THE GALAXY!!
Don't forget to write a feedback to apple direclty via this link : https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
The more Apple receive customer's complaints, the more Apple will be reactive ... i hope so ...
