iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?

Apple has NEVER used sapphire glass in the past on ANY iPhone. They have partnered with a company to produce sapphire glass pieces for some of their products, like Apple Watch, but it's never been suggested, nor proven that Apple will start using sapphire on future iPhones. In fact, rumors are against the terms of use of this forum.

I too have hairline scratches on my month old iphone 6 plus, My 2 year old iphone 5 is sitting next to it with a flawless screen, same brand slip case on both of them, how one phone could get 6 7 hairline scratches in a month while the other has zero in 2 years is not down to user but the hardware, very disappointing, I worry about how the screen will look after six months let alone 2 years.

Apple does use sapphire on the camera lens and touchID sensor (iPhone 5 and forward).

Yes, I'm aware of that. But the poster I responded to stated Apple used Sapphire Glass on prior iPhone screens, which we know they have never done on the screens themselves.

I was pretty sure you were talking about the main screen. I was simply pointing out it was used in the lens.

I'm confused. Since you are replyting to my post, are you suggesting my response to SterMasterFlex is invention, speculation, rubbish, inaccurate, hearsay?

this is my "nicely" scratch and i REALLY dont know, how i did it...

Looks very similar to my 6 Plus. My friends often tease me for how I "baby" my phone. I even make my wife take off her earrings if she wants to use it to make a call. I have an iPhone 4, iPhone 5 and an iPad air. I never used a screen protector with any of them and despite 2 years of heavy use, their glass remains flawless (and I mean "flawless" in the truest sense of the word). Needless to say, I was shocked when I noticed a 3-4" vertical scratch down the center of the glass on my 6 Plus. My phone is has been in the Apple leather case since before I left the store. It has never been dropped or abused in any way. I carry it in my suit pocket, glass facing inward, with nothing else in that pocket. It is an absolute mystery to me where this scratch came from. I am quite disappointed. Considering going back to my 5.

Maybe a fine crack, which is covered and genius will replace for free.
