iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?

I know. Me and my friends were going to buy ten each, but we're not going to now. We're going to drag Audi down and out of the car business.

I think KillaCam86 was being facetious. Prior post shows that they haven't had any scratches other than from their diamond earring, and I don't think they're sympathetic to people making the unfounded complaints.

I think you may well be right, and apologies where required. We get so many ridiculous complaints, it is difficult to recognise tongue-in-cheek from brute stupidity. 😐

So far I'm not getting issues with scratches on screen. But what I'm seeing that my iphone 6 is really prone to get my fingerprint grease on it. It took a few ha until I see my screen dirty. i guess the anti oil coat is not that high quality.

Really? Mine get fingerprints all over the screen and I can see sometimes the oil on the screen from my fingers. It's annoying.

Of course your screen gets fingerprints on it. Especially if your fingers have oil on them. iPhone screens are less susceptible to smudging than unprotected glass, but they are NOT smudge proof. The coating on your iPhone screen is easier to wipe the smudges off than unprotected glass as well. But if you thought your screen wouldn't show finger prints, your expectation is unrealistic and iPhone has never been advertised as smudge proof.

Same problem. I love the iphone 6 plus. This is my first iPhone and it's a wonderful device. Except for this one cosmetic flaw. I had an HTC one for 2 years that only had 1 scratch on it. This thing alraedy has tons of hairline scratches, which I'm told can weaken the glass.

This is an article comparing sapphire glass to gorilla glass. It's apples and oranges which in all honesty is all hype to be honest. Sapphire glass in small sizes is great for watch crystals, but could be a disaster with glass covered phones. Sapphire is admittedly harder to scratch, but MUCH more easily shattered.

You also have to keep in mind that article was written long before the Apple Watch was even announced. it was only rumours and speculation that Apple's interest in sapphire would be for the phone, not the watch.

Currently use space gray 6, I've found two hairline scratches on the screen after two weeks of use. I use a case but no screen protector.

Quite disappointed since this is my first iphone after moving from Note 2 which doesn't have any scratch after 2 years of use.

tthe glass is more susceptible to damage and scratches as in the past years they have always used sapphire glass in their products which on the hardness scale is a range from 9-10 and in the iphone 6 they use gorilla glass which is only about a 6-7, a drastic difference. Apple has purchased the rights to start producing sapphire glass but won't be back until the next generation of iphone(rumored not yet confirmed). Basically just be more careful and that's that. a huge manufacturer fault.
