iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?

Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. Anyone else experiencing this?

Just adding my voice to this thread. I was disappointed to find very small hairline scratches on the screen of my iPhone 6 after just a few months of use. This never happened on my previous iPhones and I've owned one ever since the original one came out in 2007. The scratches indeed appear to be in a very thin plastic coating on the surface of the glass, but not in the glass itself. An early post in this thread said it was the oleo resist coating that is the problem. I hope Apple eventually addresses this. This thread is soon going to be over 100 pages long, so I wonder how many complaints Apple needs before it takes action and issues a recall or a refund or some other solution for this very real problem?

Adding my voice as well. I went to the Boston Apple Store on Boylston today and was told that they don't have anyway of telling if I took a knife to the screen or not. I searched for "scratches iPhone 6" and showed him how prevalent of an issue this is.

My previous message was removed because suggested a strategy to get the attention of Apple. Hopefully my voice will not be silenced this time.

As an owner of every single iPhone since the original this is disappointing. I've never had this issue with any previous iPhone.

Adding your voice to this thread will not accomplish anything. This forum is not a complaint forum. It is a technical support forum for other users to help with technical issues. Apple isn't here and they're not adding the number of voices who are here. If you want Apple to hear you, use the Contact Us at the bottom right hand corner, or this link I'm providing you: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

Apple won't respond to you, but this is how you can be heard.

So you anticipate that filling out the "contact us" form that only Apple will see will have a greater likelihood of driving action on this issue than adding my voice to those of 100s of others in a public forum?

Hopefully Apple can come up with a "technical" solution or workaround for this. If not then at least everyone can see how many loyal iPhone customers this impacts.

Actually, yes I do. The only Apple employees who are reading these posts are forum moderators, who are only here to make sure a post doesn't conflict with the Terms of Use.

Whether you take the time to use the provide feedback link is up to you.

Add me to the list of people with a scratched iPhone 6 screen. I have had an iPhone since the 3G came out and never had a problem with the screen getting scratched on any model and I never had screen protector on any of the phones i owned. The iPhone 6 screen is very susceptible to scratches. I am so bummed as I have never had this problem with any other iPhone and I treat this phone like its my baby. I love all Apple products but this is just disappointing.

I agree that the iPhone 6 or 6+ screen can scratch easily without a case, careful or not. It can also get scratches with a case. Somebody else eluded to this fact by recommending that you take the sand out of your pocket (smart alec). I'm just not so sure that everyone has sand, dirt, metal shards, etc in their pockets. I have had an iphone since the original and I have used it with a case and with out and/or with screen protector (separate from case). No matter what I've tried it always gets a scratch on the screen. I find that when i do have a case and/or screen protector, I and the people I know feel that it's industructable with this protection And are not as careful with their phones. I actually get less scratches without a case and screen protector because im more carful and sand or dirt can't build up in case. However, I know that if I drop my phone it is probably going to crack. Thus if I'm just going to a wedding or school I usually don't use a case. If I'm going to a bar or a baseball game I opt for a case. I own a mophie and defender. The mophie is sleek and gives me extra battery life but only a ltitle bit of protection. If I want more I go with the bulky defender case. After laying out how I use my phone I have two questions: 1. Why should I have to buy a case and/or screen protector for a $1k phone. I think apple should provide one case and one screen protector at the very least and they should put it on for you when you buy it if you choose that option. Whether they attach them at the factory or in the store, doesn't matter. The important thing is that they do it before dirt and finger prints find their way on to my phone, especially If they're not going to cover cosmetic damage. 2. There is all this talk about preventing scratches and cracked screens. What about the internal hardware; do cases protect against this? After all a helmet for a football player prevents his head from being split open it doesn't prevent a concussion. Thoughts?
