Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. Anyone else experiencing this?

Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. Anyone else experiencing this?
iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8
Sorry if I misunderstood.
I had my iPhone 5 for two years and had very small fine "usage" scratches. I received my iPhone6 on the day it was released and so far I am impressed with the screen. Not even a little scratch at all. I am very careful with my stuff and have a Spigen Slim Armour case on the phone. So far, very good here. I don't see any issues. Best of luck..
I dont have any scratches yet, but if you tap the screen with your finger, it sounds like cheap plastic. On my 5s, it has a different sound, that of glass. I think the screen on the iphone 6 is made of some sort of cheap plastic material, not glass! Overall, if you look at the case on the iphone 6 and iphone 5s, the 6 is not as well made as the 5s. The 6 has the cheap look of the Samsung and other makes. Thanks, Apple, you make a nice new model, but cheapen the case and charge more money, with a bummer of a warranty on easily caused damage to the case. We SHOULD NOT have to be buying all the extra protection for these phones, especially if the scratch that easy!
iPhone 6 does have a glass screen, not plastic. It is thinner as is the entire phone and it weighs less than the previous model, but it is glass. No one said you should "have" to put anything on your glass screen. It's a personal decision. If you are concerned about scratching your phone, a screen cover can eliminate the concern.
I Have repaired iPhones abd iPod touches in the past. Let's use some common sense here. The reason why the iPhone 5 seems more solid (the glass) is because it is smaller. Simple physics. The iPhone6 has Gorilla glass with an extra ion level of protection therefore it is actually a better glass than the five. The iPhone 6 is built thinner and with a more curved aluminum body. It's very elegant and well built. The iphone5 was very sold and more square but was smaller. We cannot forget that. To think Apple is using plastic is simply foolish.
Fact remains though, that the 6 Plus glass costs the same to replace at an Apple Store that a 5s did, even with the significantly larger surface area. The regular 6 is cheaper. That, to me, is huge evidence that they cheaped out on this glass and it's less scratch resistant as a result. Which *****.
You have to remember that the assembly also plays a key role here as well. How hard is the screen to replace/make? The way the screen is assembled onto the new iPhone is actually a lot easier than that of the 5s. This can account for the cheaper price. Why is the 6+ more expensive? Bigger display 😝
ok. Corning, who makes Gorilla glass, made a cheaper version for Apple to use. That's logical. NOT! Do you think it's more to fix an iphone 6 plus' screen? No. The cost isn't the material it's the job. Period. You think they are going to charge $3.67 cents more for a new iPhone screen repair? IT IS GORILLA GLASS. NOT SOME CHEAPENED DOWN GLASS. As a matter of fact I am impressed after almost 3 weeks of use not even a mark of any type :-)
This guy might be an Android Troll lol
Bigger, more pixel dense display = more money. You took my post the wrong name and already are starting to name call... OK, then. My statement was that when iFixIt tore down the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, it was easier to remove and replace (not much glue was used) which accounts for a lower price. I never said anything about the cost of the glass, you assumed I did (incorrectly).

Not at all. I've owned a 4s and 5s for about 3 years combined, as well as a 2nd gen iPad for almost 3 years now, and have gotten zero scratches on any of them in all that time. Getting two large hairline scratches on my new 6 within 4 days of receiving it frustrates the heck out of me. I'm rational enough to admit if I'd done something like drop it, etc. that caused the damage and I didn't, which is what bugs me. I don't know if I have a defective screen but, my personal device is absolutely less scratch-resistant than all my previous Apple devices.
And this is why I'll never give up my Nextel as my work phone almost 12 years old it's been dropped, thrown and run over yet is still flawless
Weird. I don't know. My iPhone 6 is flawless this far and I use it daily in my shirt pocket with earbuds while I work (Mail carrier). It's fine. My iPhone5 had little tiny scratches but that was 2 years of use. Good luck. I love the 6.
Same problem here, brand new iPhone 6 4,7" and scratched :-( I have no idea where the scratches came from.
I owned every iPhone since the very first and never had such display problems.
But most annoying on this is that our local Apple Store denied to replace the iPhone because this is "not a warrant problem".
This guy on YouTube has the same problems, his phone looks exactly like mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2Tv7A_dA0U
I have had my iPhone 6 plus for 10 days now and there are fine little scratches on the bottom next to the home button. This is very upsetting because I have always left my screens naked! My 4, 4s and 5s do not have any scratches for the 2 years I have owned them. I guess I will be forced to get a screen protector for now and wait to see if Apple will do anything to fix this. Very disappointed!!!! 😠
