iPhone 6 screen easily scratched?

Have been taking EXTREMELY good care of my 6+, but the corners already have visible scratches. Anyone else experiencing this?

I've tried reading through this thread and it seems to be full of confusion.

It looks to me apple 100% have a problem on their hands here.

I've only had my iPhone 6 for a couple of months, always careful with my handset etc and there s lovely couple of scratches towards the top of the screens edge. Now they arent visible when the screen is lit, but they are when its off and its so annoying.

I've owned iPhone's for the past 6 years or so and this is the first handset to get a scratch on the screen, combine this with forum posts all over the net suggests there definitely is a problem with the 'glass' used.

Has anyone successfully managed to get this sorted by Apple by walking into a store and asking for a swap?

So Apple is sneaking into your house and scratching your iPhone?

Sounds like you weren't quite as careful as you thought...

I have the same problem here.

My own **** fault for not getting a screen protector, but this screen is just simply awful when it comes to getting scratches

I assumed they were using the latest Gorilla Glass for this, but obviously they are not.

I have an iPad 1, iPad 3 and an iPhone 4 with no scratches and have never had a screen protector.

The iPad 1 and 3 are used by my kids and get manhandled constantly and neither have a single scratch.

I've had the iPhone 4 since 2011 and no scratches at all with nothing protecting it.

My opinion is that the glass is simply substandard compared to what they had used to have.

I'll go to the Apple store and get the same BS everyone else has.

I really have no issue with paying $129 to get things taken care of since I've only had to phone for 3 months, but it would be nice for Apple to admit the glass they are using is inferior to previous models (that's obvious already though).

I figure I'll at least write a strongly worded letter to Tim Cook about this. lmao

I am not sure about that when I see all the other posts...

No, Apple probably will not and should not do anything for you. Cosmetic damage is not covered by any warranty. Arguing that it is some kind of design fault or manufacturing defect will not get you anywhere. You can present all the posts and views you want but you can’t prove it unless you are some kind of glass engineer with scientific evidence (and that has not happened). All the theories, rants, claims, assertions, search engine hits, forum posts are hearsay only. Claims of “I’m very careful” don’t hold water either.

Your only hope is to take your iPhone to an Apple store and calmly, respectfully, logically, reasonably discuss the matter. Taking an “attitude” in with you will more likely be met with resistance. Screaming, threatening, cursing, name calling, causing a disturbance, disrespect will hurt your cause not help it. Local store managers have the authority to make case-by-case exceptions if they so choose. Honey attracts more bees than vinegar.

No one here (over 20) have had any issues with screens scratching any more than with previous models. Most carry them in their pockets or bag, some have protectors, some not. So it is certainly not a manufacturing fault with all iPhone 6s.

Cheers

Pete

Hey Pete you said: any more than with previous models....

I have a galaxy s3 and an ipod touch 5 with 0 scratches after 0 months and no screen protectors can i expect the same with an iphone 6? I mean, i'm a careful person but also this is a phone and i need to take it out to the street, pretty much pocket hands, pocket.
