Slo mo video playing at regular speed

I've recorded several videos in slo mo mode on my iPhone 6 Plus and they've worked just fine. However, today I recorded two videos in slo mo mode at 240 fps, and when I went to play them back, they played back in normal speed.

The videos have the circle icon in the lower right corner of the screenshot indicating slo mo mode, and they also appear in the slo mo album on the phone. But they play back in normal speed.

When I exited to the home screen, then reopened the camera app, it recorded a subsequent video correctly.

Anyone else with this experience? Any advice?

There's no confusion zibberfitchy. Prior to this bug and afterwards, I've shot slo mo videos successfully. So I've seen where you get two sets of sliders -- black for trimming on top and blue for slo mo just below. In the videos that have this bug, although they have the slo mo icon and appear in the slo mo folder, there is only one slider when you open up the video: the black trimming slider. There is no blue slo mo slider and the videos play only in normal speed.

Hi,

Just adding my case to the list. After syncing the slo-mo slider is gone and also other icons like the "favourite" hart shape, the "more" icon (small circle with 3 dots) and the trash icon... all these are missing.

While in the iPhone all videos and photos have these options / icons available. Not after syncing. And slo-mo videos play at normal speed in the iPhone. In Aperture and iPhoto in my macbook pro the same videos play "slow" as they should...

I have a similar situation with my iPhone 6 but mine happened only after I imported all my videos (slo-mo & regular) to iPhoto, deleted them from the iPhone after import, and then re-synced the videos afterwards. 8.1.1 is out and the Slo Mo sync bug is still there. Poor Apple. This is so annoying.

By default, slo mo videos play back the beginning and end in regular speed. If you recorded a short video, the beginning and ending normal playback speed might nearly overlap. Open the video in the Photos app. Sliders near the top allow you to adjust the beginning and ending normal playback portions.

Thanks, Zibberfitchy. The videos were 10seconds and 20 seconds in length. Both of which should have been long enough to get the slo mo effect for the middle of the video. Moreover, the only sliders near the top are ones for trimming the length of the video.

Sorry for the confusion. The "sliders" I'm referring to are the little hashes just below the ones used for trimming the video. You will notice that one hash on the left and one on the right are bolder than the others.

Interesting -- I haven't synced my videos with iPhoto, so that doesn't seem to be the trigger in my case, but it sounds like whatever bug it is could be related.
