Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

I cannot connect to App store since updating to iOS 8 on my Iphone 4

I have tried accessing both the App Store and Itunes both just continue to try to connect but never seem to. I have tried to go to Settings to check and when I click app store in settings it completely locks up and then goes back to main screen.


Has anyone else encountered this since the iOS 8 update last week? Is there a work around?

Hi guys, I've tried almost everything and I finally figured out where my problem was. I was able to use App Store from my iPhone 4 but not from my iPhone 5 even though I made sure I've logged in correctly. However, sometimes I could use App Store from my iPhone 5 but only using WiFi. So I knew my problem was with Cellular Data and that's how I repaired it:

1. I went to Settings/iTunes & App Store and made sure that "Use Cellular Data" option is ON.

2. I went to Settings/Cellular and checked below the "Use cellular data for:" menu and I turned on "App Store" option.

Then I was able to use the store even through cellular data. It was so-bloody-easy but it costed me so-much-time to find out the problem! If you're having the same troubles - try it out.

I am having the same problem since only a couple of days ago.

I have tried the sign out / sign in thing. But since that I can not even sign in anymore.

All the other things such as Cellular Data, automatic time settings, etc. did not work neither.

It works fine on my Ipad Air and my Iphone 5s but it does not work on the Iphone 6.


It seems that it is connecting to the app store to verify my credentials. I have tried it with a wrong ID and / or with a wrong password. Then I got an error message. But when I enter my real credentials it just does not sign in and no error message appears.


Can somebody please help!

Nice!. this finally worked for me. I've been reading and doing all kinds of "fixes" for this issue over the past few days with no luck. This finally got it going again. I don't know why it went from connecting to the app store to all the sudden not connecting for no reason. I guess if it happens again i'll know what to do.

IF you have problems connecting and you are confident that you don't have problems with your internet connection, what you need to do is to follow these steps:


-Go to Settings App

-Go to App and iTunes Store / iTunes and App Store

-Tap your Apple ID and sign out.

-Sign-in back by entering your password.


and that's it, you may now try to log in and it will definitely work! 🙂
