iPhone 6 bluetooth issues

I upgraded from iPhone 5 to iPhone 6 and i've been having issues with bluetooth connectivity, when connecting my LG Tone Plus (LG HBS-730) headset i can't answer calls from the headset button and also i get an out of range message sometimes and this wasn't happening with my iphone 5 on IOS 8, i tried the headset in my wife's iphone 5 IOS 8 and it works fine. With my Motorola Buds i'm having the same issue with answering calls from the headset button. Any input on this?

Hey,

I found the following explanation here, about mid-page.

Granted, it's a bit old, and doesn't directly relate to iPhone or iOS 8.x.x, but you might want to follow the steps the gal describes, in that exact order, just to check:

"...However, after debonding again and switching off car audio, unpairing from the phone, switching off Bluetooth on phone and restarting phone. Then re-pairing and bonding again, it seems to have cleared the problem.

Also, on the phone a message pops up asking if you want Ford Audio to connect - I would advise leaving this pop-up and accepting each time. It could be coincidence but problems appeared to have started on mine when I ticked the 'Do Not Ask Again' box."

Hi Everyone,

I have had similar problems to everyone (headphones working after pairing with external speakers via bluetooth... in my case, it was a UE Boom bluetooth speaker). What seemed to resolve the issue was upgrading the firmware to my UEBoom (my iphone 6+ was already up to date). I was able to do that by going to the UE Boom website.

Hope this helps somebody out there.

Best,

iDeb

I had this same problem, until I realized that my LG bluetooth could only pair/connect to 2 devices, and it was paired with my Ipod Mini and still paired to my 5s. If you haven't tried this yet, simply unpair it with your 5s and then it should pair with your 6 when pushing the pair button down. 🙂 Hope this helps!

Apple, this is unacceptable. I have been using iPhones since the 3G and this is lazy and unprofessional. Without resetting my phone I was not able to pair to BT devices.... Thanks a lot for wasting over an hour of my time.

FIX on IOS 9.1 on a iPhone 6S for bluetooth not pairing was to reset all settings.

Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings
