Updated to iOS 8.0.1 and lost Cellular service

how about a fix Apple...no service for over an hour...unreal

I'm thinking about restoring the iPhone 6 from iTunes to factory settings in iTunes, and then doing an iCloud restore.

Anyone tried this?

Btw, I'm on standby for a chat session with Apple Support. Estimated wait time was 5 minutes, and then was 15 minutes ago!

Same here. Iphone 6 with Fido Canada. No network and no touch ID and who knows what else. Apple just pulled this update few minutes ago. So restore from Itunes and will downgrade to IOS 8.0. It *****...even more if you don't have access to itunes right now!

Same here. T-Mobile Germany. iPhone 6 - 128 GB. No Servcie no Touch ID - and im going on a business trip tomorrow. Reset with no changes. What's going on with apple? Same procedure as every time installing an new apple iOS? I thought they learned something of the disaster launching iOS7. Paying a lot of money - thinking apple works. I hope they find a solution in the next hours or a employee just released a wrong version.For me it's incredible what apple is providing in the moment.

In some german blogs they say, updating with iTunes don`t shows the problem on iPhone 6. But I can't try it anymore. Because iOS 8.0.1 is already installed 😠

Same issue. Tried to restore it through itunes but the restore is also not working . What the **** is going on with APPLE 😮. Now stuck without a network and touch ID.

Download may take a while as everyone is downloading it right now

Once downloaded, move the file to the desktop (or wherever, just makes it easier to find)

Open iTunes

Just to be safe...do a backup and save it to your computer. Click "Back Up Now"

Connect iPhone to Computer

On Mac : While holding alt/option click on "Check For Updates". Finder will open up, navigate to the desktop and click on the ipsw file (that you just downloaded) and follow the promptings. Takes 2-3 minutes with one reboot.

I just did this, works perfectly.

Backup your device

Download the 8.0 IPSW from: http://istheapplestoredown.com/ios

Restore in iTunes with the Shift / Option - Restore

Folks, I JUST did this after experiencing the same problem, and this worked perfectly for me. I should have mentioned to do a backup first...I did do that also just to be safe.

you guys will need to put your phone into restore mode

turn it off

turn it on while holding the home button , keep holding home button and have it plugged into your itunes computer

press restore in itunes, you'll restore 8.0 ignore the 8.0.1 warning
