iphone 6 ear speaker not working

I just had this problem a few days ago and one of the posts above from Serendipity did the trick for me. If when you adjust your volume it says headphones, it's probably because something is stuck in there. The suggestion was to use some canned air and blow it in the headphone jack hole a few times until when you adjust the volume it reads ringer instead. I had to do it a couple times but that worked for me. If you get those results when adjusting volume that will hopefully work. Good luck!

I am currently experiencing issues. When I make a call I would have to put my phone on speaker order to hear the person I'm talking to. When I put it on speaker I can hear everything. I am trying to figure out what can be the reason behind this issue.

I Am having the Same issue. Have you figured it out yet? People can only hear me if its on speaker.

This is too strange to see so many similar cases. First time to see this level of poor quality product from a company like Apple.

Mine is back with carrier and lets see what they will conclude.

Oh Please. Get a grip.

Try restoring as new if you haven't. If the issue persists, then you may have a defective phone that needs to be replaced.

My iPhone 6 Plus has the same issue what sure I do?

Try to make sure it is really a "new" phone and not a certified "like-new" device!!

I have same problem

by solving this, simply go to "sound" and play your ton... louder and quieter.. about 3-4 times. it will work again!

Just an update, I was able to get another iPhone from my carrier and it has obviously fixed the problem. Hopefully, this phone will not have any further issues.

Hi, I had the same issue and fixed it by plugging in the Apple headphones that came with the phone and made a phone call. I then unplugged the headphones while on the phone. All is ok now.

Thank you, your response saved me a lot of trouble. Compressed air really works.

Make sure the film covering the front screen that came with it has been removed. It is not a screen protector and it covers up the speaker which is at the top by the front camera.
