Why can't I send or share photos from my iPhone6 photo app? It says "There was a error while preparing to share. Please try again later." It's been 4 days and no luck. Help!

From my experience this happens when you have your phone set to 'optimised'. This means that the image/ video is not stored on the phone itself, but in the cloud, freeing up space on your handset. However, when you do eventually fill up the handset, then decide you want to watch, send or view said item, it cant download it back to the phone (which it needs to do in order to send) due to lack of space.
If you find yourself in this situation then the only thing Ive found to work is to plug my phone into my computer, transfer all visable videos/pictures. Then go through them on my phone and delete the ones I can do without. This then free's up the space on my phone in order to download the the ones I really want.
Id advise having your 'Photos & Camera' settings set to 'Download and keep originals' to prevent this happening in the future. However, it does mean the space on your phone is pretty valuble and you're likely to need to take stuff off (maybe transfer to a hard drive) regularly. Another thing I've learned since my brother became a manager at Apple is that videos take up a lot of space on your phone when youve initially recorded them. If you transfer them to your computer, then back again, they appear smaller, using less storage space.
I've noticed lots of people on here saying that they are signing out of icloud then signing back in but find they are losing stuff. BACK UP FIRST. If you dont then you are likely to lose things and not get them back. If you did back up and find that a few things are missing, give it time. it's literally pulling all your stuff from the freaking sky, dont expect it there in minutes. Mine has sometimes taken hours

I encountered the similar problem of unable to share some photos. I was notified of my lack of storage space on the cloud for a while now as I had the 50GB storage plan.
First thing I tried was to log out and log back into Icloud on my iphone. This didn't work as I realised I lost over 5000 photos!!! I then decided to pay for the 200GB iCloud storage plan and waited to see if some miracle occurred. While waiting I searched on Apple Support for further help and noticed they mentioned once you are signed into ICloud all your photos and videos are saved. You can also access them via a web browser. So i went on my pc and logged into ICloud.com and as stated all my photos and videos were there!!!
I eventually went back to my phone and all my photos and videos came back and I was able to share them.
It may be that increasing the ICloud storage plan helped but all my photos and videos were present on the cloud via ICloud.com on my pc.
One more thing, I was also using google photos to backup my photos and videos. While backing up on the app it notified me of some photos and videos did not back up. This was how I found out I could not share some photos which led me to investigate.

What can I do to rid of why I can't send of share of photos
By doing this I lost about 2,000 photos, so I'd make sure that you have extra space in your iCloud account.
That worked for me! Not sure why can't do this from camera app for photos taken before the software upgrade ran last nite.
Did not work AND now all my photo's are gone! Oh lord what to do now....
I have tried the logging out and logging in, the hard shut down, nothing works and now ALL my photos are gone. Nothing has been restored. H...E...L...P...!!!!!

Argh! Don't do this! I lost my photos and videos that I at least could see on my iPhone!! Dangerous advice!!

DONT SIGN OUT UNLESS YOURE SURE THAT YOU BACKED UP YOUR PHOTOS!!!! i signed out of my icloud and when i signed back in i lost 400 of my old photos.
