Camera lock screen iPhone 5 not working properly after upgrade to iOS 8

Unfortunately not. I have submitted at least three bug reports to Apple (since 8.1.3) and I have reproduced the problem in all iPhones (starting from the 4s).

Apple support I have managed to reproduce the behavior of some of our units and it looks like a bug in the software. Also tested what you described and the problems arise. The case has been forwarded

I had the same problem with ios 8 upgrade on 4s and now 6+. Not sure if anybody from Apple is looking at these posts. Its really annoying not to have camera working from lock screen, losing some good memories here. APPLE FIX THIS.😠

Version 8.3 releases last night with a huge bug fix list.

This bug is still NOT fixed!

I re-post this message for those who want to get the camera works on lock screen. IOS 8.3 still doesn't fix the issue.

The issue happens when you use voice control WITHOUT Siri being turned on or when you have no wifi or cell data.

So to solve this problem, turn on Siri and reboot your phone. Try to use voice dialing with Siri being on then access the camera on lock screen, it will work.

I hope this helps since I had been frustrated for a long before I discover this trick.

Mine, since i updated to ios 8.3, it's working only with siri (Portuguese Brasilian). If i use the other voice command (Portuguese PT-PT) stops working after i use my bluetooth headset.

Very strange that Apple does not fix this. I have called the support severly times about this issue and they say to me that this is a problem that they know about and are on their fix in a future software update. Hopefully this issue is solved in iOS 8.4.

But personally I dont use Siri as it is not available in my language yet (Greek).

So i sent another bug report to Apple and waiting for the next version of the OS.

This trick didn't fix the problem on my iPhone 5. Before it would just jump to my wallpaper (no app buttons, nothing) and stay unresponsive until I unlock my phone, after I tried the "siri trick" it jumps to a black screen...

Apple's becoming more and more like Microsoft...

I have upgraded to 8.4 and the problem continues. I don't want to enable Siri as I don't have data enabled all the time and it doesn't allow me to use voice dialing if data is not enabled. That's not the solution. This issue has been reported by so many customers, its high time Apple takes care of this. My trust on Apple is getting shaky with this issue, the number of issues reported on 3rd party keyboards etc., I moved to Apple as I heard from many that Apple takes their customer feedback seriously and gets things resolved if not very quickly in a phased release manner. I am not seeing that happening nowadays.
