how do i change outgoing text messages to send from cell number?
since installing os8 texts are sent from name@icloud.com?

You may need to unlink, then relink your phone number in Settings -> Messages -> Send & Receive.
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
You can sign in to your Apple ID on an iPhone by tapping Settings > FaceTime and Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.
