Ok, so I think I found a solution that works - thanks to the help of Apple Support
1. Back up your Iphone
2. Restore your Iphone
3. Upon the phone starting up - DO NOT RESTORE YOUR DATA
4. Open up Health App (in my case I opened steps)
5. Walk around to see if the app is tracking your steps - confirm that the app is tracking the data
6. Sign into ICloud if you haven't done so already - If you get a message to merge data, do it.
7. Restore your data from backup
8. You will have to add the Healthcard, upon restore (i chose steps again) - confirm that the data from taking steps is still there
9. Test to see if the app is still tracking by walking around
You should be able to track info in the app.
Apple definitely needs to provide an update though.
I had the same problem and noticed looking at my health data that in the past it was my steps had a little heart next to them for iHealth and now they have a picture of an iPhone. So I clicked on Health Data....then scrolled down to steps....then clicked on share data....and then clicked edit....and I changed my Health source to be first as opposed to my iPhone and it brought them all back into my dashboard.
I'm not sure if it was due to IOS 8.02, but I just noticed today that all my data is gone. I had a lot of stuff in there already. Everything is gone. As someone else experienced; the app also crashes when I select the "Me" tab in "Health Data".
The only info remaining is the stuff in "Medical ID".
I'm on a 5S and the only app I have linked to it (in "Sources") is "MyFitnessPall".
I've been having the same problem on my iPhone 6 Plus for the past 2 days. I've been able to restore some after doing a hard boot. I've also went in to each dashboard item and rearranged the order of my share items make my Whitings Pulse primary when applicable and this seemed to help to.
The Health App has issues. All my data comes and goes. It was all gone when I opened the app the first time today. Same as the pat few days. Then for unknown reasons, all the data appeared several minutes later. Now, it's all gone again just a couple of hours after the data returned. Is Apple having an Healthgate issue like the Mapgate? Very unreliable. At least I know the data is still on the iPhone somewhere if it all eventually returns even for just a while.
Agreed @mainmazz. I've been having the same problems. I thought I was able to to resolve the issues. However I get days when data is there and days when it isn't. The data is definitely somewhere, but right now I have no information displayed in my Health App.
You'd think Apple would provide a faster solution for this since they made a big deal about health since their big unveil.
This is very disappointing makes this feature more than useless.
I updated my 5s to 8.1 last night. I had all my blood glucose levels in there to track my diabetes and after the update it was GONE. I put one data point in this morning and shut down my phone for a test and after restarting the phone the data I had just entered was erased again. WORTHLESS POS application.
I had a similar experience - except I didn't reboot - I entered 1 # this morning, and now the Blood Glucose category is entirely missing, not just the data is gone, the ability to track blood glucose is gone!
Apple has issued a service note that may help... http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6446?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Same here. This is really not a good apple
I'm not sure what Apple felt like they needed to address in HealthKit that they pushed out 8.0.1, but it was working prior to 8.0.2.
IIf health app dashboard is showing empty, but data is present within each sub screen, try switching off phone and back on. It seems to wok for me.
i Think it's an ios 8.02 bug
I'm having the same issue. I tried hard reset/and plain old restarting phone. It tracks nothing! Not to mention extremely poor battery life now
Same here, No health data exists. If I enable on the dashboard when I got back it's disabled. reboot, hard reboot have no effect.
I tried that on Sunday, but shortly thereafter all my data disappeared again.
I've given up on using it. Until Apple comes with a fix, it's useless.
