Why does iOS 8.0.2 not resolve the issue of WiFi connectivity with iOS 8 and the new iPhone 6?

My iPhone 6 is still randomly disconnecting from my home WiFi, even after the latest OS update. My spouse also has an iPhone 6 and has experienced no issues with WiFi connectivity. When I spoke with Apple earlier in the week, I was told that they were aware of this issue with iOS 8 and would be working on a solution that should be released in 24 hours. I have a $700+ phone that doesn't stay connected to WiFi. Ridiculous. Apple really needs to get it together. This is the worst OS release yet.

I am having the same wifi connectivity issues, and being the company that Apple is, you would think this issue would have been handled much better. I am an Apple convert of about 6 years, but find it hard to tout the benefits of Apple with continued issues with wifi causing imessage/texts, emails, and internet access to fail. I use my phone for work and cannot afford to be down and miss important emails, or texts. Theoretically, I might not know I am missing these until I try to send one and then have to reboot to reset the phone. This could result in missed email and texts over a period of hours depending on the situation. I hope a fix, that works for everyone and does not cause further issues, is forthcoming today.

Hello Dino,

Discard the network, enable bluetooth, set airdrop to all. and try again to connect.....please give us the status.

Ok, I have 8.0.2 on ipad air and it is fine (and has those settings) my iphone plus is 8.0 iOS and also has those settings (no problem) so I suspect 8.0.2 will be fine on my iphone going to test now I have 8.0 and phone all backed up if wrong.

well, today I confirmed iOS 8.0.2 WiFi issues, my friend updated his 5S to 8.0.2 and now he has DL 2 to 4 Mbps, UL 4 to 7 Mbps, same WiFi network my Iphone 5 with iOS 7.1.1 - DL 28 Mbps, UL 20 Mbps, my Galaxy Note 3, same WiFi network, DL 30 Mbps, UL 20 Mbps, well Apple, please do something about it very quickly, people are getting really tired of this chain of failures. Every other company tests their software upon release, but You "think different" dear Apple, You use Your customers as beta testers 🙂 nice move, cost cutting at its best 🙂

The advisers at Apple said they wasn't aware, not sure if they actually read there forums, the advisor tried to geto technical until I got technical with him regarding frequencies, I'm still having issues connecting to wireless broadband on my ipad air it disconnects, connects and then disconnects it's a pain the the arse I just want it sorted, I have an appointment on sunday in the apple store so hopefully I will get someone who knows that there talking about.
