Why does iOS 8.0.2 not resolve the issue of WiFi connectivity with iOS 8 and the new iPhone 6?

Very upset with the new iOS 8! I have resorted to using my inconveniently sized iPad for all wifi activity. My iPhone 6 is strictly used for making calls. I have not updated my iPad yet, and do not plan on it until the wifi issue is fixed. Please fix the issue, Apple.

I tried the hard reset as suggested and it seems to work for the past 10 mins...will monitor and see if it is truly fixed.

A hard reset is the only solution but it is temporary. The only real solution will come in an iOS update.

FOUND THE SOLUTION TO THIS! Switched my WEP wifi security to WPA and not only did it fix my iPhone 6 plus wifi connectivity, it greatly improved my internet speed! DOOOOOOO ITTTTTT!!!

WEP to WPA2 is not the solution. I've used WPA2 since day 1 and the problem exists.

As spikerman77 said, using WPA does not fix the issue. And who still uses WEP anyway? I love all these people posting solutions that make no sense... The only solution will come from Apple.

My 5s is cutting out on wifi and 3g after update also

My Iphone 6 has difficulties connecting back to cellular network after connected to WIFI. I need to restart the phone in order to have my cellular network working. I have try on and off the cellular network button but it doesn't help. Is a hassle having to on and off the phone each time it is connected to WIFI. Anyone has the same problem.

Wifi is still dropping out literally every five minutes on my iPhone 5s. Tired of 'updates' which create more problems that they anecdotally solve. Not remotely impressed Apple.

yeah, this happen on my iPhone 5s and iphone 6...

Wifi connect but sometimes i can use it, sometimes not.. waiting for fix from apple..

having the same issues here since 8.0 and it persists in 8.0.2, clearly the prob is in iOS. I'm shocked that such a crippling issue is yet unresolved. Has there even been official confirmation of this bug?

IOS 8.0.0 was absolutely fine for me. However, after upgrading to 8.0.2 on my Iphone 6 plus I have had nothing but problems with WiFi...it keeps jamming, and I have to restart the phone. Sometimes, I don't even get the options to select a network. Its very frustrating because it was fine before the update.

I'm also having the same issue here ( UK, London).

iPhone 6 Plus 8.02 - Continually drops Wi-Fi signal and sometimes can't find any network at all. The only thing that resolves it is a reboot or resetting network settings. When I do reset or reboot it always finds my 5GHz network and connects with blazing fast speeds but when it goes to sleep and I return after a few hours either the signal is completely gone and reboot is required or I have to toggle wifi on / off to get some movement.

I'm running this all on a 5Ghz connection so not sure if the issue is related to that. I have heard that 2.4Ghz works better and is more solid for others.

Every other apple device works perfect on my 5Ghz network.

Does anyone think it could be a hardware issue with the new phones?

I really don't like, this problem. please update and fix wifi issue.

I am having the same issue. Iphone 6 plus IOS 8.02. Wifi just stops working. Have to reset network settings for it to start working only to loose wifi after a few hours again. For a £700 phone this is not exceptable. What are you doing about this apple? The brand " Apple " was once a respectable name, it is starting to lose it's integrity. 😠
