iOS 8.0.2 wifi issue

I read on one of their development pages,that the phone or ipad has to be charging to sync through Wifi, works with my phone but not my Ipad.

iphone 5 won't connect through wifi to iturnes anymore- connects OK with wire. Did before ios8. Otherwise my wifi seems ok.

There is a setting where will only connect if plugged into power, but that's not the issue. It connected fine before just wifi. My older ipad still connects fine by wifi (but has older OS)

waiting for fix or acknowledgement from apple.

pretty frustrated at Apple - we pay a premium for Apple - should work. Sad no Steve Jobs anymore. Apple going downhill.

The Wifi is not working after my iPhone 4s after being upgraded to OS8.0.2. It keeps searching a wifi NETWORK although my other wifi-enabled devices can easily find wifi connection. No Internet service is available with my iPhone now. Have tried the following methods one by one according to related discussions, but no luck to resolve such problem. Any suggestion other than the methods listed below is greatly appreciated.

Method 1. Putting refrigerator for 10 minutes, and taking out to retry wifi.

Method 2. Turning off Cellular Data.

Method 3: Resetting Networking Setting.

Method 4: Going to Privacy - Location Service - System Services-Wi-Fi Networking off.

Very strangely my iPhone 4S is now working and not affecting other equipment using the wifi, as it did last week. No idea why this has "fixed itself" but it has.

I, too, noticed the same thing. Updated to iOS 8.0.2 and it didn't seem to help. Suddenly, three days later, problem resolved itself. No idea why, but I'm not complaining.

I have the same problem on my ipad even after upgrading to 8.0.2. Wi fi is either slow or just does not respond.

Total lack of quality in the 8.X release. God knows if they even know where the issues are in their code.

same here... iPad Air on 5 GHz does not work, but it goes well on 2.4 GHz

No issue with iPhone 6 on 5 GHz ac

(I use two different SSID's for 2.4 and 5 GHz)

but seems like Apple screwing with old phones to encourage people to upgrade.

Just tested ios 8.1 beta 2. Can confirm the wifi issue has been resolved.

Same problem here. iPhone 5S loses connection to wi-fi every 10 or 20 seconds for 1''-5''. Things were perfect with iOS 7. iPad Air seems to work fine. Hope Apple will deal with that problem soon.

Apple is becoming the new Microsoft and 8.0.2 the new VISTA

After going to the Genius Bar and going through their reset steps I've found I need to shut off and restart my iPhone 5 once or twice a day to get it to work. Very frustrating.

having IPhone 5s here and whatsapp took a century to load and send On wifi.

when i was using iPhone 5S with iOS 7 it was perfect and after that i updated iOS 8, i am not able to connect the office wifi connection but i can able to connect my home wifi. regarding this issue i reached out the Apple customer care they suggested me to restore the iPhone, i did that. now in my iPhone iOS 8.0.2 is running still i am facing same issue. if any one knows issue please suggest me how to resolve.
