iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!

I see everyone posting ways to fix this but nothing works. It may work for a short while but then goes back to unable to make or rcv calls on BlueTooth in the car.

CNN Has finally picked this issue up. Hopefully Apple will now do something ASAP! I am ready to take my phone back and get a competitors model.

It does not matter how many times you reset all settings or network settings or wipe you cars bluetooth memory or change the phone name, etc. It does not work. I have been struggling with this since launch day of iOS8. I have 2 iPhone 5's with the exact same issue and they had no such issue for 2 years before iOS 8.

For those who post things like "The reset worked for me!" I ask that you shut your phone off or do an iTunes sync or backup and then let us know how it's working. Probably no success. It will revert to the same bluetooth issue.

I am terribly upset over this. I can't believe that Apple of all companies would have such a problem. It should "JUST WORK" but it doesn't. Very sad.

I do hope something gets done this weekend because I am ready to return it and move on to something else. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Apple fan. I have a couple iPads, a MacBook Pro, Apple TV, 2 iPhone 5's, 1 iPhone 5c and an iPhone 6 now. But if this doesn't get fixed soon, I have no choice to dump my phone and move on.

The worst part is that we pay so much for a premium product and I don't expect these "amateur" issues.

Also people forget about going to your car dealership to get a bluetooth update as the Apple support people are telling everyone, including me.

So, please, Apple... Don't leave us hanging like this.

Hi All

Having the same problem - was not great timing either as my car went in to the garage and was working fine then when it came out it wasn't working so the garage has taken the brunt of my frustrations.

I have just spoken to my provider (vodafone) and they have told me that Apple have just announced that IOS 8.1 will be available to the public from Monday 20th October and should fix all connectivity problems with wifi and bluetooth

Will wait to see if it actually does

We shall see indeed. Thanks for the heads up on the "fix". Will keep my eyes peeled for that elusive fix on the entire 8.02, too. What a mess for 4S owners.

iOS 8.1 (came out today 20 Oct 2014) fixed this issue on my iPhone 6 Plus. Car is a 2013 KIA K5 Optima Turbo SXL.🙂

Looks like Apple fixed the problem. I'd be curious if it fixed it for other brands of cars. I sincerely hope so for all of you

iOS 8.1 came out today, download that update and your should be good to go! Fixed my bluetooth issues

I have the same problem with my VW Tiguan. I had no problems at all when I was using my iPhone 5, 5S. I didn't realize it's the problem with IOS 8 until I read your posts. I am so mad at it, too!!!! Apple go fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Downloaded 8.1 and tried all the fixes for my iPhone 5 and it still drops the connection on outgoing calls on my Mazda CX-9. Incoming calls work fine and my music plays fine. I notice when I'm pairing it it says "connected " then flashed "not connected" then "connected" all during the pairing process.

No fix for me with 8.1. Reported many pages back. Pairs and audio fine but still reverts to handset for calls. Work perfectly in iOS 7, dangerous now. Mitsubishi Outlander 2013.

Hi,

a hard reset of my iPhone 5 with IOS 8 and make a new connection to the RNS510 worked.

how do the hard reset: together press the Home button and the ON/OFF button and hold 5 seconds, the phone will restart.

No Apps or configurations are lost, with the hard reset your cachememory will be cleared.

Well, then you are one out of 10 million iPhone users. This is a major problem that is finally getting reported in all major news outlets. My new Acura TL had no issues with connecting until I picked up an iPhone 6 and upgraded to 8.1.
