iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!

I see everyone posting ways to fix this but nothing works. It may work for a short while but then goes back to unable to make or rcv calls on BlueTooth in the car.

CNN Has finally picked this issue up. Hopefully Apple will now do something ASAP! I am ready to take my phone back and get a competitors model.

It does not matter how many times you reset all settings or network settings or wipe you cars bluetooth memory or change the phone name, etc. It does not work. I have been struggling with this since launch day of iOS8. I have 2 iPhone 5's with the exact same issue and they had no such issue for 2 years before iOS 8.

For those who post things like "The reset worked for me!" I ask that you shut your phone off or do an iTunes sync or backup and then let us know how it's working. Probably no success. It will revert to the same bluetooth issue.

I am terribly upset over this. I can't believe that Apple of all companies would have such a problem. It should "JUST WORK" but it doesn't. Very sad.

I do hope something gets done this weekend because I am ready to return it and move on to something else. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Apple fan. I have a couple iPads, a MacBook Pro, Apple TV, 2 iPhone 5's, 1 iPhone 5c and an iPhone 6 now. But if this doesn't get fixed soon, I have no choice to dump my phone and move on.

The worst part is that we pay so much for a premium product and I don't expect these "amateur" issues.

Also people forget about going to your car dealership to get a bluetooth update as the Apple support people are telling everyone, including me.

So, please, Apple... Don't leave us hanging like this.

FIX THIS NOW!

99% of Bluetooth syncing issues are user created. What trouble shooting steps have you taken beside shouting at us users? Note: Apple isn't here. Just users like you and me.

My iphone 5s has always worked fine with my 2013 Chevy Cruze. UNTIL I updated my phone last night to ios 8.1.3 My car will no longer recognize my phone at all. In fact, it does not even appear on the device list. I can't make calls nor listen to my audio books. This is terrible. I am a long time Apple product devotee but I am beginning to rethink.

Rebooting your phone after an iOS update often fixes odd issues. To reboot, press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time until you see the Apple Logo, then let go of both buttons and your phone will restart. See if you can connect to your car after it comes back up.

I'm in the same position, but as the link below will show, it doesn't go away by upgrading you phone to iphone 6 or 6s either...these have EXACTLY the same problems; check it out! It seems the only way to get this fixed is to NOT use an iphone 😟 buy another phone!!!

I have an iPhone 6 with latest iOS, I just got a new car delivered and Bluetooth doesn't work, Volkswagen Bluetooth system can detect my phone but the phone doesn't detect the car and I cannot connect the car to the phone therefore no handsfree calls and nothing at all, this is an absolute disaster for Apple and I am going to change my phone for that very reason.
