iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!

I see everyone posting ways to fix this but nothing works. It may work for a short while but then goes back to unable to make or rcv calls on BlueTooth in the car.

CNN Has finally picked this issue up. Hopefully Apple will now do something ASAP! I am ready to take my phone back and get a competitors model.

It does not matter how many times you reset all settings or network settings or wipe you cars bluetooth memory or change the phone name, etc. It does not work. I have been struggling with this since launch day of iOS8. I have 2 iPhone 5's with the exact same issue and they had no such issue for 2 years before iOS 8.

For those who post things like "The reset worked for me!" I ask that you shut your phone off or do an iTunes sync or backup and then let us know how it's working. Probably no success. It will revert to the same bluetooth issue.

I am terribly upset over this. I can't believe that Apple of all companies would have such a problem. It should "JUST WORK" but it doesn't. Very sad.

I do hope something gets done this weekend because I am ready to return it and move on to something else. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Apple fan. I have a couple iPads, a MacBook Pro, Apple TV, 2 iPhone 5's, 1 iPhone 5c and an iPhone 6 now. But if this doesn't get fixed soon, I have no choice to dump my phone and move on.

The worst part is that we pay so much for a premium product and I don't expect these "amateur" issues.

Also people forget about going to your car dealership to get a bluetooth update as the Apple support people are telling everyone, including me.

So, please, Apple... Don't leave us hanging like this.

I see all these complaints and threads starting up, and I am just as frustrated as everyone else. I cannot seem to get my iPhone 6 to play nice with my 2013 Acura MDX. All kinds of issues. I can listen to music, but the calling features are pointless. I can start a call, but not hang up. The call audio is kicked back to the iphone speaker after a few seconds. I've tried every solution others have recommended, but the problems persist, and I am sick of backing up and resetting every day. I did read one post where an apple sr. support person acknowledged an incompatibility issue between certain vehicles and the bluetooth in the new iphone 6. I assume this means that apple is aware of it and working on a fix, but it would be nice if they could acknowledge the issue and reassure their customers.

I also agree with several other comments about early adopter concerns. I have never seen this level of serious usability problems right out of the gate on a new Apple product. Thankfully, the iPhone 6 overcomes a lot of previous shortcomings for me, so I intend to own this model for quite some time, IF they can fix this darn bluetooth issue!

The real reason for my post is this: After leaving my car, I have found that Siri has been rendered USELESS on my phone. I can no longer dictate text or use Siri in any way until I reboot my phone. This is EVERY time my iPhone connects to my car. Anyone else experiencing this? Now I have to decide between bluetooth audio streaming/reboot my phone after every trip in the car, or having Siri available to me when I need it. I do dictate most of my text messages so this is a BIG issue for me.

I have the same problem as you for a few days but finally I solved it just now. (I use iPhone 5s)

One of my friend doesn't have any problem like me even though he uses the same 5s, then I realize that the difference between my phone and his is all the third party apps. My friend does't have any other apps except whatsapp and LINE, so I try restore the iOS 8.0.2 again but this time after finish the update instead of restore as the former iPhone we must choose restore as new phone.

Suddenly, my bluetooth is back!!

I hope this can help fix your problem.

Anyway, I'm not sure whether because of the third party apps or SIRI which cause this bluetooth problem because now I completely turn off SIRI.

I have the same problem.

Had an iphone 4s w/ iOS7. Start up my car (2015 WRX with standard CV629UM head unit) and bluetooth connected right away. Zero issues.

I upgraded to a 6+, bluetooth will not automatically connecting to the car stereo out of the box. Tried the reset all settings, removed all BT devices from stereo.

With iOS 8.0.0, the 6+ will connect if I manually forced it (Settings->bluetooth->[device]).

Updated to iOS 8.0.2, now I have to force bluetooth connectivity 2 or 3 times after turning my car on before it will connect.

I have tried various combinations of removing BT devices from both phone and other device, rebooting the phone, toggling BT, etc... Same problem.

Very annoying that this bug wasn't discovered sooner.

If any Apple iOS developers are listening, I am just down the highway from Cupertino and will gladly drive up to the Apple office and show you the problem. 🙂

Having the issue with an iPhone 6 and a 2014 Cadillac CTS. I updated to 8.0.2 the day it was released assuming that Apple would not push two broken releases back to back. I had no issues until today. My car stopped being able to place calls through the phone Bluetooth connection. The car reports that it is connected to the phone but indicates that the phone has no network connection. Despite this indication the phone is in fact connected to the AT&T network and can place calls on its own.

I refuse to jump through hoops to clear settings, restore my phone, etc. Apple needs to fix this. As much I want to say get a fix out now I'd rather you take the time to do the appropriate level of regression testing, none of us are ready for strike 3.

As of Sept. 30: iPhone 6 with iOS 8.0.2: Bluetooth will not work properly in Porsche, or Mercedes, or Mini Cooper. iPhone 6 Bluetooth will not even connect via Bluetooth with our iMac or IPad. The iMac Bluetooth recognizes the iPhone 6, but it will not "pair". IMac message is that "The device (iPhone 6) is not compatible!" This is my second iPhone 6. Apple retail store ( Walnut Creek, CA) replaced my first iPhone 6 due to the non-functioning Bluetooth on that original device. A comedy of errors by Apple.

iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!
