How do I change the email notification settings for Find my iPhone?

I too would like to know how do you turn off email notification when you use find my iPhone

A security requirement for turning off Find My Phone includes the follow up email ...I don''t know that you can turn it off. I have assumed the email for Find My Phone is going to be the same email address associated with the Apple ID.

Thank you. Actually my main question is can you disable the email that is sent to you when you track the phone? I don't actually mind it when turning off find my phone I just don't want it sending when it is tracked all the time. Can you help at all please

You cannot disable the email notification with Find My iPhone from what I know.

Don't know that Find My Phone is the best way to "track your phone" if you want to track it "all the time". You could use an App like Find My Friends if you want to track a phone regularly / frequently. That App would not send an email when you checked for the location of a "friends" phone or your own.

Does the friend have to accept your request first though?

this new feature just secretly popped up. it has to go. i dont like receiving these notifications every single time

This "new" "feature" was in place around 3 years ago, removed and has now been reintroduced either deliberately or via a bug. I suspect the latter because the email notification states "Your Apple ID (blahblahblah@blah.com) was used to sign in to the Find My iPhone app on a new device."

But actually it's not a new device, the mail is sent every time a device is used, whether for the first time or the umpteenth time.

Many users use the app to see where their family members are. I use it to see if my partner is on her way home from work, for example. Every time I do this now the inaccurate (it's not a new device) mail is sent.

So I'm assuming and hoping it's a bug that will get fixed. Unless of course it's a feature designed to protect the privacy of a phone thief.
