My iPhone 6 won't connect with iTunes. i tried restoring it, restarting, i even completely erased it, and it still won't connect, a window pops up on my computer saying that iTunes 11.4. or later needs to be downloaded.

I had the same problem to fix it: Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

Then reboot your phone

Just went down this road. Bought two new iPhones last week, one is having this same problem. No help from the store, no help from apple. Re-setting, re-booting, updating, all did nothing. Time to move away from apple. When you have to go through as much as we did to try to solve such a very simple issue, after paying so much money, it's definitely time to try a different product. Apple charges a fortune, yet they provide the same ridiculous service as everyone else. Why get hosed?

they have no answer for this because mine i just got in december and it wont connect to itunes..its pretty annoying!!

The answer is to update iTunes on your computer to the latest version.

I was having the same issue and after a bit of troubleshooting, I went to associated devices in iTunes and discovered I had 8 devices associated with my account. I removed 3 old devices and was able to add my new iPhone 6 without any problem.

As Lawerence Finch stated above you need to update iTunes.

iPhone 6 requires 11.4

iPhone 5 requires 11.1

those are minimum specs required for syncing.

I have the new 6s and same problem. My iTunes won't connect. It says I need a newer version of iTunes. I checked the version. I have the newest version required. It won't recognize it. Anyone else knows what to do?

You need iTunes 12 for syncing iOS 9. If you are just checking for updates then you OS may not be able to up date to 12.

I have the exact same problem. I have all the latest versions but I still get that message. Let me know if you figure it out. I have no music on my new phone and it's ******* me off....
