My iPhone 6 won't connect with iTunes. i tried restoring it, restarting, i even completely erased it, and it still won't connect, a window pops up on my computer saying that iTunes 11.4. or later needs to be downloaded.

My new SE will not connect to MAC Mini with 10.6.8 and iTunes 10.4. No updates available for OS or iTunes. Apple support was no help. All support said was the iTunes icon was the wrong color when he remotely logged in!!!! WHAT? What does apple teach these guys?

Just got an iPhone 6s yesterday & like a lot of others my Imac although with the latest version of iTunes just wouldn't connect, I dug out an old laptop, updated iTunes on that then managed to get that one to connect, it now seems happy to connect with my Imac.

SO if my laptops cannot support iTunes 12. what are my options as far as accessing my iTunes library so I can download my music on my iPhone. Is there another option besides buying a new computer?

Had the same problem with my iPhone 6 Plus and iTunes 12.5 after trying all the different ideas, I finally when to the device manager selected Portable Devices, iPhone 6 Plus, updated the driver and all was well.

The problem could be how old your laptop is. If your MAC computer was created early 2009 or earlier you wont be able to download the newest version for your MAC computer to support the newest itunes needed for the iphone 6/s. I tried everything that has been suggested in the replies to be sure I knew that this was the exact problem. Good luck!
