There is no such thing as factory unlocked.
Only the carrier the iPhone is locked to can officially unlock, no 3rd parties or websites.
It doesn't matter whether the phone is factory unlocked or carrier unlocked. Both unlock the SIM for use with networks other than that with which the phone was originally locked.
And it is most certainly possible to purchase a factory unlocked iPhone. Buy full price from Apple. I am on one currently.
An iPhone that is unlocked, whether purchased from Apple that way or unlocked by the carrier it was locked to, can be used on any compatible network. But, the full capability of the iPhone may not be realized as the standards for LTE frequencies are not really standards. An iPhone that is 4G/LTE in the US will not work on all LTE networks around the world...they will drop back to 3G service if necessary.
Also, the warranty is not international, it is only valid in the country of sale, except that Apple treats the EU as one country.
If you purchase a T-Mobile iPhone through Apple, it is factory-unlocked.
Having said that, if you have an AT&T iPhone that is carrier-unlocked, it will work internationally.
I live in the US, but I have used factory-unlocked T-Mobile iPhones and carrier-unlocked AT&T iPhones in Europe and they both work fine with SIMs from other countries.
Is it the only sim locked? Or the machine is also locked. If the sim locked only then you may throw it away and a put new one to use it where you like.
Sorry if my questions are seems to be illogıcal.
If the iPhone is locked, the lock is in the iPhone and not on the sim.
Changing a sim will not unlock an iPhone that is locked to a wireless
provider.
No, "SIM unlocked" as in the SIM tray will support any carrier's SIM. You always will be required to have a SIM card from the carrier you want tho use.
There are unlocked vs sim-free or sim unlocked...those sin-free are NOT unlocked iPhones. They lock to the carrier of the first sim that is inserted.
You must have an unlocked iPhone to use it on any carrier.
