wifi calling problems - t-mobile, iPhone 6

Hello all,

I am having a problem with the wifi calling feature on my new iPhone. Whenever I connect to a network for the first time after being away or if my phone is asleep for a bit, it says T-Mobile Wifi as it should to denote that I'll be using wifi calling, but the first call (sent or received) always immediately is dropped when it first tries to connect. Afterwards, I can immediately repeat the call and it will connect fine. Whenever I switch wifi networks (going to work, coming home, etc) the problem repeats, and it repeats if it's been awhile since I've made a call. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Thanks

Adam

I'm having a similar issue with WiFi calling.

Where mine differs is I've been able to connect to Tmobile Wifi when I either reset my network settings or power the phone off and on again.

Now if I leave my wifi area and return, the phone refuses to reconnect to Tmobile Wifi. I either have to power down the phone and power it up again, or worse, manually reset my network settings and then and only then will it again reconnect to Tmobile Wifi.

Tmobile has zero answers as to why this is occurring.

This has happened on both my own wifi and out and about at different hotspots.

I'm at a complete loss as to what to do. I'm going to guess that it's an issue with iOS 8, but I'd really like to get this solved. Any ideas out there?

To all, good morning....

My issue is somewhat similar. My phone actually connects to WIFI calling on T Mobile successfully. However my calls last 15 to 30 seconds on average before I either loos audio or the calls simply drop.

I spoke to apple at length and "they don't have enough information yet" to provide a solution.

I spoke to T Mobile and they simply refer me back to apple thus the software was written by apple.

Please let me know if anyone has a fix... I truly need the wifi calling feature.

I'm having exactly same problem as josefrompalmetto bay .

Calling T-mobile to activate wifi calling and restarting iPhone 6 didn't work.

Disabling "iPhone cellular calls" from my iPad didn't work either. (well, iPhone cellular calls doesn't work with wifi calling but just in case, I disabled it from my iPad).

I only had one successful call without any problem so far by restarting my iPhone 6 but after that call, the problem started again.

I didn't have this problem when I was using LG L90 so I believe we will just have to wait for Apple to come out with a solution to resolve this problem.

Please report the issue so that Apple will work on this problem.

Hey Crackbone,

I am experiencing the same problem you described where the iPhone 6 refuses to automatically connect to T-Mobile WiFi calling and only rebooting it or resetting network settings (and sometimes toggling Airplane mode on and off) can re-establish the feature. Have you found a solution yet? I've tried full factory reset of phone and all kinds of other stuff, but so far nothing has fixed it.

Thanks!

Holger
