Blue Screen and Non stop reboot after ios 8.0.2 update?

I ended up in Apple store, they exchanged the phone with out any questions, even if it was up and running at that time (w/ iCloud backup disabled) after a prompt mentioning about a blue-yellow screen.

OK, my iphone 5s is losing itself every night. iTunes says it is in restore mode. I do a restore and sometimes it works but othertimes I just get a blue?black screen and a soft reset does nothing. I just have to keep fooling around for it to finally restore factory settings and then do a restore from backup. I am getting very upset about all the time wasted everyday.

I have to reset location services , redo fingerprint ID and passcode after the icloud restore. FRUSTRATING!!!! BTW, this all started after software update to IOS v 8.1.3

So Apple gives the choice of $299 to replace 16 month old phone that has no issues except with the new IOS. I kicked Microsft out the door years ago for tooooooo many blue screens of death. Have to go back to my LG sweetheart smartfone and enjoy the lil Green robot some more. 🙂

You were very lucky by the sounds of it.

I think for this BSOD Apple should have a replacement program like the one they had for the iphone 5 wake/sleep button. In store they called it a software update failure.

Hi. I had blue screen problem 5 days ago and i fixed it following instructions here , but today it happend again and im trying to fix it for ten hours but just same error 4013 can anyone help ? (sorry for bad english)

Here's a working solution for the constant rebooting and blue screen of death (BSOD) on iPhone 5s 8.x.x:

Settings--> Battery--> Low Power Mode : turn it ON.

note: when phone is fully charged, low power mode is automatically turned off, therefore you must switch it back to ON.

this workaround has been successfully tested

try this method, it's a little weird, but i think i solved the problem.

GO to settings : battery : low power mode set to ON

thats it, mine is work now, while we waits the next ios version to fix this problem
