My iPod Touch 5th generation won't turn on?

It was working fine, there is no damage, it won't charge, iTunes doesn't recognize it, I've only had it for about two months, I locked it and when I went to check it again it would not turn on, it doesn't respond to anything. I have a warranty, would Apple replace it? Or is there a way I can fix it? I've tried everything the other questions have said to do. I can't restart it, or put it in recovery mode. Help?

I have been having the same exact problem and I have tried everything. I tried the two button restart thing and the apple logo NEVER appears. Its kinda frustrating. I do not want to loose what I have in my iPod because I have really valuable stuff in it and I've been trying to turn it on so that I can retrieve that information from it. Please help me!!!

Hey ralph

I have a problem with my ipod. When I updated my ipod with the new software..I think its ios 8? but yeah when I updated it, my ipod has been playing up lately. Like whenever I would turn it on..5 seconds later it just turns off by itself and then after 2 seconds it restarts by itself...... It only does this when there is wifi, but when there is no wifi then it doesn't play up....can you please help me...I don't know what to do.

Hello. Hope this helps. So i've been in the same situation twice and yes my home button is stuck and also i'm using my ipod touch to post this which means it worked for me. I don't really know if it would work for others but why not try it right? So what i did first was I tried to connect it to the charger to see if it's not just low batteries or something and it still won't charge even after i left it charging overnight so I just left it alone (not charging) and everyday I press the lock screen button for about 20 seconds hoping it would open and thankfully after maybe 3 or more days it opened. I've done this two times already and it worked for me

Hi, I just got a scare, had this 5th gen touch for a year or so(?) been great with no problems, but about 5 minutes ago it wouldn't turn on and thought it was dead, left it to charge for about 10 minutes and said to myself no way it's taking this long to turn on, so I looked on here and found this, thank the lord!!

But, my question is: why did this happen? I remember when I used it earlier that it had decent battery remaining and I had just pressed the lock button when I was done with it. There should have been no reason I would have to hold the home/sleep button for 15 seconds to turn it back on... Curious to know, hope my pod isn't "on it's way out."

I have a problem as well. I have been holding my home button and power button together and the apple logo appears bUT my ipod still doesn't turn on. I've charged it and even charged it to my computer. My computer can't read my ipod as well.. the screen is still blank and I repeat pressing the home and power both together. The logo appears but then it turns off again. Ithe just keeps on repeating itself. Help. Please. Do I need a new battery and if I do how much would it cost to get Ithe fixed.

It's not working for me!! What happened to me was that, I was playing a game and then the screen froze with the game, I couldn't press the home button, it was just frozen! But the music of the game was still there! So what I did was pressed the power button, it just turned the screen black and was still frozen with the music! I've had this iPod for 5 days!!! My parents are going to kill me!!

i already tried this, won't work, it looks like it does at first before shutting down again (i also tried releasing said buttons at different moments); right now i got it connected to my mac, it shows the apple logo, before showing a lack of battery (u know, a nearly empty battery with a little red filled in), then it shuts down again and starts the whole thing again, its like a gif

any help you can give, i'd really appreaciate
