Where is the personal Hotspot on iPad air iOS 8.0.2

iOS: Understanding Personal Hotspot

Read the link above. You need a compatible device and a mobile service plan and operator that supports Personal Hotspot. Operators sometimes require an extra fee.

Same ipad air, same carrier: before ios 8.0.2 I had the possibility to enable personal hotspot under Cellular Data and it was working fine. After the upgrade to ios 8.0.2 the option for personal hotspot disappeared. Is this a bug?

I find one solution.

1) turn off WIFI.

2) Setting

3) Cellular

4) Cellular Data Network

5) In Section: personal hotspot

6) Type any thing in: user name

7) Go Back to : Cellular Data Network

8) You View: << Personal HotSpot OFF >>

9) As Before, Personal HotSpot On and .....

good bay.

Cellular Data Network have 4 Section:

1) Cellular Data

2) LTE setup (OPTIONA)

3) MMS

4) PERSONAL HOTSPOT

you must scrolling screen.

Did you contact your operator as I said? If not, do it. They control whether you have personal hotspot or not.

Abootorab is right! But more precisely after step 4) I had to go under APN setting section. There I found 3 sections and the last one is referred to personal hotspot APN settings.

In order to see again "personal hotspot" in the usual position I had to enter at least one value under "APN" (the right one for my operator) and then I followed steps 7) 8) 9) indicated above.

At the end this is a working solution and you will forget this problem.

I had to google theAPN settings for my carrier. I put it in the 3rd section under "APN settings',

then I clicked < to Cellular data. I turned it off, turned it on, and Personal hotspot was there!
