Voice to text not available after upgrade to iOS 8

SInce I upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS 8, 'voice to text' is not available. (it's the small microphone on the keyboard; it enables you to speak a message e.g. In iMessage or so, and after that, the text is written out) On my iPhone 5 s, it works perfectly! Anyone who has the solution?
