iOS 8.0.2 email

Hey everybody,

Wondered if anybody is seeing a similar problem.... Here's my scenario at my desk right now.

I have a MacBook Pro running latest OS, and an iPad Mini (retina) and iPhone 6 Plus, both running 8.0.2. Let's say a new email comes in. Like usual, I get a notification that pops up on my Mac. No issue. But I am noticing that on both my iPhone, and iPad, I will often get the audible notification, but nothing appears on the lock screen. In fact, if I go into Mail, the new messages often won't appear until I refresh them.

Anybody else seeing this?

As a follow up... after some more testing, this appears to be only with Gmail/Google Apps email accounts. iCloud and Exchange work normally.

LOL. And, as one further follow up, my old iPhone 5s works fine. 🙂

No it didn't. Icloud isn't working on my 5s.

What do you mean, "No it didn't?" I just meant that's how things are working (or not working) on my end. I've done some Googling, and it seems like this is an issue for lots of people, and it's not always consistent either.

With iOS 8.0.2 I have the same problem with my iPhone. Although "push" is activated for emails, I often have to open the email app and to refresh before I can see the new emails.
