hey leonie you just don't get it,

I understand your issue very well, only there is no solution but to use the provided tools in iOS 8.

It looks like Apple blocked large email attachments completely for any app. I cannot mail any file larger than 10 MB in any way from my iPad or iPhone, neither photos nor videos. all ill bring up this warning.

Since downgrading to iOS 7 and the earlier GarageBand version is not supported by Apple, you can only send feedback to Apple and report a usability problem and request a feature change.

Use this form: Apple - GarageBand IOS - Feedback

BTW: none of my friends or family members can receive attachments larger than 10MB. It is only our university network that allows to mail larger files.

I just tried myself. This must be a new "feature" of the GarageBand 2.0.3 update.

It looks like this limit were built in into Garageband now, so there is no way around it. But many mail providers have a built-in limit for attachments anyway. You could try to share the songs in a Dropbox folder and email the download link.

I'm really hoping this gets resolved. What do they want us iPad users to do ? buy computers ?

Many internet providers do not allow emails with large attachments. So your emails with attached songs may bounce.

And even if the large attachment does arrive at the recipients, they may consider it to be inconsiderate, if you fill their mailbox with large media files they have to pay for downloading large files.

Why not share your song to sound cloud and share the link? Then the recipients can decide, if they want to download or not and it does not clutter up their mailboxes.

hey leonie you just don't get it, this is about convenience and privacy, there was no problem before the iOS update. Maybe your friends don't want unsolicited files from you but I'm sharing my songs privately with my close friendsmoor years. I have a soundcloud too, if I want to share with people I don't know and have no control over who listens. Once again there was no issue before the iOS update.

you cant email a uncompressed file anymore, you have to compress it. Problem solved. Still never had this issue before the update.

Good idea, but GarageBand on the iPad is automatically mailing the song compressed in AAC format, and there are no further compression options when sharing the song.

Do you live for confrontation or something ? When emailing a song from GarageBand you have 5 options ,AAIF is one option and it says its uncompressed.

IM done with you. Good luck.
