IOS 8.0.2 Speakerphone Not Working

I was running IOS 8 on my iPhone 5 without issue. However, after updating to IOS 8.0.2 the speakerphone stopped working.

1. Earbuds work, holding it up to my ear during a phone call with the speaker turned off works.

2. When speaker is selected during a phone call no sound comes out of the phone speaker.

3. When playing a song from iTunes no sound is produced from the speaker whether it is held up to my ear or held away only earbuds work with iTunes

4. Siri works but does not produce any sound output except through earbuds

Everything worked fine until I updated to 8.0.2. I've Restored the phone 3 times while directly connected to my Mac using iTunes 14.4.

I really wish I could downgrade to IOS 7. I have 8 other devices I've bought for family members and have had to advise them not to upgrade until these issues are fixed.

If there are any suggestions, other than restoring the phone which had already been done a number of times, I'd be happy to entertain them.

I'm having this problem as well except the speaker works just fine but the microphone for the person to hear what I'm saying when I'm using speakerphone does not work.

I just got the iPhone 6 yesterday and was really disappointed that it isn't working 100% ... such a disappointment.

Anybody have any suggestions?

OK, short of throwing the **** thing on a brick wall ... I doesn't work.

Reset ... doesn't work either !

I was on iOs 8.0 this morning. the phone was working fine. Then I updated to 8.1 and the "ear speaker" don't work anymore.

People can hear me fine. But to hear them I have to put it on speaker.

Apple .. you are constantly dropping the ball recently ! Fix it fast !
