iphone 4s downgrade IOS 8 to ios 7.1.2

You can't, Apple has stopped signing iOS 7.1.2

As ou may know iOS 8 is really buggy. Try to update to 8.0.2.

Go to Settings » General » Usage » Battery Usage, as a reference you will see a list of the apps that are consuming most of your battery. This will be a guide to close avoid those apps or minimize usage.

Some tips:

- Turn off Background App Refresh or select the most important ones.

- As always try to close every app after usage (double click home button and swipe).

- Privacy » Location Services, set Apple apps to “While Using” or “Never” for other apps I don't need.

- Privacy » Location Services » System Services (located below the screen), fro there turn off all unnecessary services.

- Settings » Mail, Contacts & Calendars » Fetch New Data, set it Manually or fetch less frequently.

- Avoid inlcuding unnecessary Notifications.

As a last resource, back up your iPhone and Restore it iOS 8.

Sadly the iPhone 4S, which was great is not well optimized for iOS 8 like the iPad 2, those are the last in the line, also have less hardware capabilities to run fast as iOS 7.

I'm with you. I can't stand anymore, my 4S with IOS 8 is COMPLETELY buggy. **** you Apple.

My iPhone 4S ( iOS 8.0.2 CLEAN INSTALL ) is running slowlier than,

the iPhone 4 ( iOS 7.1.2 ) from my wife. 😟

We need Apple to restart signing ios 7.1.2

I am wondering this, why is it that apple stops signing iOS software? why cant they keep signing the firmwares that people want? and could Apple ever sign them again for client satisfaction?

If Apple are at all interested in their customers, they will re-sign the IoS 7.1.2 for the iPhone 4S.

This is highly unlikely, as Apple do not have a good 'track-record' in responding to customer requests/feedback.

So my/our iPhone 4s are now non-functional until we can down-grade.

Apple should accept that the IoS 8 upgrade (even as 8.0.2) was a 'step too far' for the 4S.

This is a user to user technical support forum and Apple are NOT here, so they will never respond to your questions.

Send them feedback directly if you want any kind of response.

You just keep telling yourself that...

Hate to say it but, Apple won't let you fall back. My son and I have 4s iPhones. I am running the latest version of IOS 7 and love it, and won't be upgrading (actually I'll be eventually getting an iPhone 6). My son on the other hand, hates anything new (weird kid), so he is still running IOS 6 on his phone. I broke the news to him the other day that he should have moved to 7, but as a 17 year old, he didn't want anything to do with that suggestion. Lol. Luckily his phone glass is cracked, so he will eventually be getting a new 5s or something. I did a little research BEFORE considering upgrading. My hope is that eventually, Apple will fix the slowness of IOS 8 for 4s phones and you will be able to upgrade and get your old speed back (or closer to it).

seems like no one in apple support read our complaints, they don't care about what's happening with our phones.
