iPhone 6 poor picture quality

Quality in the iPhone 6 is near to crap, so what now? Just suck it up?

My wife just told me she rather user the iPhone 3 since the camera was better, and honestly I feel the same.

Apple really is loosing it.

Turn off your filters...

The filters is turned off from the beginning

I updatet my iphone 6 to 8.3 but nothing change at the camera quality , its the same ...

I think that all the iphone 6 camera is the same and has bad quality ... I went to apple store and pick pictures at 3 jphone and all have the same problem ....

I think that no one can solve this problem , also apple .....

HHave the same issues photos looks like watercolored and n dark it becomes worst since m living n Afghanistan there s no authorized Apple shop here so no chance of replacement too

I was so excited to upgrade from the 4S to the 6 and did a pre-order last September. I've mostly been happy with the 6, EXCEPT, like everyone else on this thread... the picture quality is sometimes HORRIBLE!! Many photos come out looking like a patchwork watercolor. I took the photo above standing fairly close with a little zoom and it's poor quality. It's very frustrating and I've missed some wonderful photo ops because the pics turn out so lousy. I was just outside trying to capture some wildlife shots and when reviewed they are all blurry,... out of frustration I found this forum thread. I'm going to take some comparison photos using my old 4S and see how they turn out... looks like I'm going to have to ditch the iPhone and purchase a camera... super disappointed with Apple lately after being a long time fan 😟

I don't think I've ever been as disappointed with a tech purchase as I am with this phone because of the picture compression issue. Where were all the "trusted reviewers" on this? Why did everything I read tout the camera on this phone? Would have definitely NOT bought this phone had I seen the absolutely absurdly unusable pictures pumped out. It's especially painful to see the "shot with iPhone" ads that show off these amazing pictures.

I think there might be a chance if we report this as a bug (since IT'S A SOFTWARE BUG!!!!) they may finally listern to us and remove the terrible noise filtering.

I had exactly the same 'watercolour' / poor quality images.

I don't know if this will fix it permanently but so far so good...

1. Go into native camera app

2. Click the 3 circles bottom right

3. Click on 'none'

4. Take photos

This simple thing fixed it for me, even though it was set to 'none' previously with no other filters selected. Normally when a different filter is selected those 3 circles change to coloured circles and when it is on 'none' they go monochrome. (Originally they were monochrome, & I was still getting bad shots).

Anyway, I'm not suggesting this will fix it for everyone, but it has worked for me....so far.
