iPhone 6 video recording without sound.

Hi, I have an iPhone 6 and I'm using the iPhone for more than 1 week, everything was fine until I decide to make a video, the video recording was fine but without THE AUDIO, so I tried to record a voice memo and everything well, all the calls well, dictation to siri well, but video without sound even if I made the video with snapchat still without SOUND !!!! i don't know if is a software problem or what, I have the Macbook Air, almost all the iphones, ipad and ipod and is the first time I'm dealing with a problem like this. I hope you can solve this...

Video volume is separate from system volume. You may not be able to hear video sound even if all other sound is fine. Be sure that you do not have the mute button enabled and that volume is turned up when playing back video.

It is not solved for me when I am using front camera for video recording. kindly help to fix this issue.

I ran into the same thing: I recorded a video and it seemed like it had no sound. It turned out that the connection to my bluetooth headset was still active, so when I played the video, I didn't hear anything. The sound was recorded just fine, but it was playing through my bluetooth headset, which on my desk, rather than the internal speaker. So whenever you're not hearing sound when playing a video, make sure that you're not inadvertently sending the sound to a connected bluetooth device, such as a headset.

I'm having the same problem... There is no plastic cover over my speaker. And I'm not bluetooth connected to anything... Has anyone found a solution to this yet? Do I need to take the phone back?

Hi, I have the same problem and had to replace my iPhone 6 yesterday. Technician told me to restore last back up at home from my PC, so I did it and now new phone isn't recording any sound... Just some white noise. I asked for advice and it looks like there might be an app or file or whatever which is causing this issue. I'll restore and set up phone as new, without backing up. Just start all over again. It should help, because there was a sound when we checked it at Apple Store.

I slid up the IOS tray and adjusted the volume there. It worked!

Thank you so much, JJSchotte...it hadn't occurred to me to check my bluetooth! Sure enough, that's what was creating my problem, too. I feel really stupid 🙂

Hello, i have the same problem " while i'm recording with front camera the sound is't working good like (TV disturbance) with my new iPhone 6 , iOS 9.1. i was read this topic and is't working, i hope to find solution. Thanks 🙂

I'm facing this problem too when recording aith front camera on snapchat everything's going fine , when i record with default camera on playback i hear just noise and siri is recordin only noise too cannot hear me at all ..

Fixed camera audio! I've been trying to get my sound to work for siri and dictation. Phone won't hear me. Also noticed I have no sound when shooting video. the sound Seemed to not work when I switched the video recording quality to 60fps(smoother). Switching it back to 30fps fixed my audio. Siri still can't hear me though.
