iOS 8 has ruined my ipad2

HELP! ios8 has completely hosed my ipad2!

ANd I mean completely, it is incredibly slow, there is crazy lag time on every click, every letter typed, and forget about links! The home button takes seconds to react, the apps take forever to open, and freeze constantly. Yesterday the ipad just went black in the middle of using it and I had to hard reset.

my beloved and much used and relied upon machine is almost unusable.

i Seriously doubt an update will fix this. Ios8 has clearly and dramatically overtaxed my older processor. I need the ability to downgrade to Ios7. This is a perfectly good machine, and I'm not buying a new one.

Apple, from a 30 year fan, this is unexceptable, please help quickly.

I Have an ipad3 and its running like total crap now on ios 8...double pressing the home button with more than one app running starts voice over along with overall laggy performance to web pages not loading. Never should have updated. Apple should let us downgrade if we want. My iPad ran great on iOS 7 now it's worthless. If they think I'm going to purchase a shiny new iPad they can kiss my ***...im looking at Samsung tablets now.

SO sorry you are having trouble. I know how you feel. Sounds like there are many of us dissatisfied. I certainly hope Apple reads these posts. Not sure why they offer updates without a warning about how they will probably ruin your computer. I love Apple products but I will NEVER do another update without investigating how it has worked out for others first. Then I will decide if it is worth the risk!

I purchased an IPad2 for use in aviation. I use it as a pilot. This new update has rendered my IPad2 to be a danger in flight. Apple should have posted a warning immediately regarding this issue. The iPad has been approved for aviation use. Many Pilots use iPads in flight. It is not a device just for a pleasure flight, but for commercial flights as well. i can longer trust my iPad 2 in flight. Having your iPad freeze up, lock, shut down, take forever to get established, only to repeat a problem in flight is not good. Then having to abandon it, fumble around for for paper charts, and A/FD and get reacclimated while flying a plane is very dangerous. I'm supposed to be flying the plane, not troubleshooting an iPad. Apple if you are reading this, you owe me a new iPad. The aviation community works really hard to support your product, and this is how you maintain that relationship. Shame on you!
