Emagic AMT 8

Hey guys, I have been trying to find a way to get the amt8 working with my macbook pro. I've downloaded the drivers that are on the link provided by apple but it still doesn't work. Has anyone out there been able to do this? If not can anyone tell me how to hook up midi from my sound card to the other equipment using the midi thru?

Mac book pro, Mac OS X (10.4.7), M-Audio Firewire 410 sound card

Does it work at all?... do you see any lights when you play your controller? I have the same one (amt8) and it works with the MacBook pro and Logic7 You could try to rescan it under Applications>Utilities>Audio MIDI Setup>MIDI Devices>Rescan MIDI... Or you can try Add Device on that same page. Give that a Shot...good luck

For what it's worth, I have the Mac Pro 3.0 tower, an emagic Unitor and
4 AMT 8's. They work fine with the driver from Apple. Firmware version
in the Unitor is 2.0.2, in the AMT's 2.0.4. Perhaps you need to update?
In the Audio MIDI Setup it shows one giant Unitor with 40 ports. I think I
had to enter some ports by hand. Have you run Unitor8 control? All the
boxes show up in that.
Good luck...

It may sound silly, but try changing USB cables. Recently I've found several
instances of gear that won't work with one cable but will with another, both
USB and firewire. Also some things won't work on USB hubs, even if the hubs
are powered. Even my ipod doesn't sync properly when it's hooked into a hub,
it has to go directly into the machine. I've tossed two firewire cables and a USB
hub in the last two days. I think the gear is getting more demanding. Or the
older stuff just isn't clean enough.
