iPhone 6 vibrate intensity is very very weak compared to previous generation iPhones.

Got iPhone 6 on 9/19. Found out that Vibrate intensity is very very weak on iPhone 6 compared to previous generation iPhones. I keep missing calls and alerts when on vibrate mode. Is there any solution to this ?

Same issue here. Put the iPhone6s in the front pocket of my jeans, missed all the calls when I was walking ard. Not a single call I could feel "vibration". I guess Apple wont do anything abt it. It is a big trade off to me. I have been on Viration or Silent mode with any smart phones for 6-7 years. Ringtone is really annoying even in private spce.

P/S: I guess Apple is pushing Watch sales very hard indeed .

I use it to rest the phone at my desk. Works like a charm. The vibration is loud.

It doesn't solve the problem when the phone is in your pocket, though.

Yes, I have a place on my desk where it rattles around; works great...

Try tucking it into your underwear. Deep. This works too but people look at you funny when it rings °͜°

I have had this same issue on my iphone 6s plus. What I did was create a custom vibration --- --- --- --- pressing really hard on the phone screen to create a hard vibrate. Then I called myself from another phone and I definitely felt the vibrate. it seemed much better than before. the regular vibration i can't hear at all and i miss calls all the time because of that. However with this custom vibrate it is easy recognizable. Hope this helps.

Guys think i found the solution. I has the same issue when my phone is silent and vibration ON, I miss all the calls. There is an option in settings - do not disturb. Short cut there is a moon symbol for this. When his is on and when the phone is locked, nothing will work - call or vibration. You can set this no to be turned on or schedule the do not disturb. It works for me. Good luck. Finally I figured out !

This has nothing to do with Do Not Disturb. I don't even have DND enabled and I have this issue. It is a design flaw related to hardware. Without opening the phone and looking to see for sure, I agree with the person who posted the vibrate mechanism is now aimed or directed side to side or top to bottom rather than front to back (glass to back). Need proof? Like the poster said, call your phone and place it on it's back or front. Very minimal vibration detected... Now set your phone on the side edge and call it. The phone nearly jumps off the table. I ran my iPhone 6 on iOS8 for the longest time and never really noticed the vibrate issue, nor did I miss many texts or calls. Now that I upgraded to iOS9.2, I miss a ton of texts and calls (that's what lead me to this forum and topic). What's this all mean? I think it's a hardware design flaw for one, however, I think it can somewhat improved (not drastically or where we'd like it to be) by an iOS tweak. Hopefully Apple sees this and makes an adjustment in an upcoming update.

Resetting the network settings on your phone will not help this issue. I mean, of course you're going to miss calls or texts and your phone isn't going to ring or vibrate if you have no cellular service, but at the root, the vibration issue has nothing to do with network or cellular signal and you're just adding to your frustration by performing these steps. If the Apple Geek or cell provider is telling you to do this, then they don't understand what you're actually asking them and/or know what they're talking about.

To the post jeremynfl1 made (the one I presume got deleted by the mods), how about doing some research before posting? A simple Google search for iPhone 5 vibrator motor and iPhone 6 vibrator motor CLEARLY shows they are NOT the same and Apple changed the mechanism in the new version of the iPhone. Like the old saying goes, don't open your mouth and prove you're an.....

There are several threads running on this same issue, going on for quite some time. I've read through pages and pages and have yet to see one single solution to this problem. I too am missing important calls and texts. I can't tell you how discouraging it is when one of my doctors calls and I did not get the call. I can only tell my phone is vibrating if I "happen to glance at it" at the moment someone calls. I cannot feel it in my pocket. This is unacceptable. I used to be able to hear my vibrating phone from another floor of my house. If I happen to forget where I last left my phone, I usually call it from another phone. With this vibrating motor, the phone might as well be off. Very disappointed in this "upgrade". Can someone from Apple PLEASE offer some kind of solution to this?
