Obviously I'm missing something... I've tried what you suggested.. and when I copy the image (i've tried png, jpg and gif) and paste it in the signature it shows the image in the signatures settings... however when I send an email... the image doesn't go with the email.. when i open the email in Mac Mail its just blue question mark where the image should be

My guess is the problem with the square is being caused by incomplete or broken html in the Email Signature. I think the Signature panel doesn't know how to fix HTML. But the email app does... so this is why you copy a complete & pre-formatted email message: entirely.

I walked through the directions above, exactly, and it works with (in my case) even oversized JPG files in the signature.

By copy and pasting the whole message body, you'll retain the html formatting &, in my case, the image too. Running iOS 8.1 & it worked after a few tries.

Keep trying combinations... you'll get it.

I tried the ideas posted and i am not able to get the image to stay. It will work until i close the Settings or Email apps and then the image disappears and i just get an outline of a small box. I have tried on an IPad and Iphone running 8.2. Is it possible to have the image stay after you close the email app or restart the phone with out having to add it each time?

I found that what imodztech suggested worked for me as long as I didn't delete the signature email I originally sent and copied from. As soon as I deleted the email I copied from, I was back to having a blank box for the image.

So I guess the signature information doesn't store the image, but only a link to where it was copied from. If you delete the image you copied then your left with no image in your signature. I tried storing the image in my photo album and copying it from there, but this didn't work either.

It's a bit of a balls that you can't just paste an image into your signature and forget about it...

Hey,

I just discovered that if you go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calenders and scroll down to the section under Mail, there'san option titled Signature. Tap on that and it'll take you to a screen which gives you two options: All Accounts or Per Account. If you tap on Per Account you can add a signature block in for each individual e-mail account you have. Cheers!

I have tried everything i have read in this post and i am still not able to get a picture to save after closing out the email app. I have gone to settings and pasted my signature in, shook the device and choose undo, and then when i close the email app the picture is just a box. I have tried copying it from a email in my in box, sent items and even saving the picture. I get the same results with each. i am running 8.3. i am not sure what i am missing. I was able to successfully do this on an Android phone with out issue. I was just wondering if anyone else had any other ideas. It seems to stay no problem until i close the apps from what i can tell. I am just curious if there is a way to keep it permanently?

If you are under the signature portion for your respective email account, you can right-click below your information and it provides an option to "Capture Image From Screen". I had my logo up on the same screen already and simply boxed what I needed from a picture viewer; now it is permanently on my signature. I hope this assists everyone!

I was trying everything above and was not successful...until I did everything literally. Try the steps below to get the signature setup, it worked for me. My only problem now is that the image is not reflected on the received email (e.g. I emailed myself with the updated signature and the logo was not visible)

From your work laptop/computer

  1. Create a blank email
  2. Send the blank email, with only your work signature, to yourself - ensure it is to an email address on your iOS

On your iOS device (iPhone, iPad)

  1. Go to your email
  2. Open the email you just sent to yourself - you can also go to your work sent email on your iOS as this will work also
  3. Copy the signature in the email in it's ENTIRETY (including your name, address, and contact info if you have this info in your signature)
  4. Go to Settings > Mail > Signature
  5. Paste the entire copied signature from step 3 (iOS device) into the appropriate signature block
  6. Back out of the Signature section
  7. Open your email app and create an email using your work email that has the updated signature

If you followed the above steps, you will see the entire signature just as it is in your email from your work laptop/computer. My signature also includes bold print and hyperlinks, which work on the received test email.

Now if someone can provide some advice as to how I can get the image to be visible at the receiving end, I would be greatly appreciative.

how can i add a picture/logo in my email signature?
