I ordered on 10/20 through AT&T (corporate account) and found out today that my delivery window was pushed to between 12/12 - 12/19.
Twice I had called in the past to get confirmation that it would ship between 11/28 - 12/09 (original window) and I was told that it was *guaranteed* to ship because that was my shipping window (we're talking about some circular logic here).
AT&T customer support is essentially useless. After calling them and providing a litany of information so they can confirm my identify they basically just read back to me what is already on the AT&T order status page. I call with the hope that they might be able to give me advanced notice of a potential backorder situation. Instead, they replied with "your phone is in high demand and therefore limited supply" and refer me to the shipping window. I just want them to be honest with me! If they cannot ship the phone within 4 weeks, they need to officially label the order as "back-ordered" and remove any reference to a shipping window. That way, I can cancel the order like a sane person and explore other options.
Hi. AT&T? It's you, not me.
