iPhone 6 Plus October Orders!

derickfromin, well just know, if you decide to go with Apple, have the rep stay on the line with you while you cancel your order with the carrier and make sure your eligibility shows up again and Apple can get you a phone through in-store pick-up, if you find one near you, so you don't have to wonder if it will be there when you get there. They are really good, so keep that in the back of your mind in case things continue to be delayed for you. 🙂

Fay, did you put your 4S up on ebay? How's the new one since you got your issues resolved with you PERSONAL Apple rep? 🙂 The only thing I'm having to adjust to is, since the phone is so big and I try to talk on it, I kind of hate that the hole to hear who you're talking to is so far up on the phone. When I have it up to my ear, I feel like I'm almost off the phone and when I move it down a little when seems more natural for a bigger phone, then I can't hear the person very well. lol I just have to get used to it. 🙂

I am going to put my 4s on eBay this weekend because I am having landline problems. AT&T is coming to check it out right now! Also, I just talk on my Bluetooth. I was having some problems with my 6+ when I would talk on the speaker. I think it's fixed now, but I still use my Bluetooth.

Sorry for taking so long to update, but my phone finally came very late last night around 8 pm, just when I was coming home from work, but I had to turn around and go back out, so I didn't really had time to play a little with it until almost 11. So far so good, everything is working fine, still downloading some apps. I started as a new phone since I deleted my 4S backup from iCloutd when I bought my Note 3 last year. I also had to download a new IOS version 8.1.2. I'm loving my phone, I can finally have all my stuff from my iPad on my iPhone and vice versa, that is a must have for me. 🙂

Fay, let me know how the goes on ebay. I've found that only doing a 3-day auction is better than doing it for a week. There are so many out there, if it doesn't sell in 3 days, then you can relist, but this time of year, I bet you don't have a problem. 🙂

Happy to report my touchscreen issues have gone away. It had something to do with the "Reachability" function I think. Turning that off and on and then resetting the phone (I think that is the order in which I did it) fixed the issue.

Loving the phone, and the extra storage. My iPhone 5 was so filled up with photos and music that I couldn't update to iOS 8. Still getting used to the size though...it's huge!

eptowns, glad you like the phone. I knew you would. 🙂 So there's a new update? It didn't let me know that like it usually does. I see it now looking on the phone under software update, but it didn't have a "1" on there telling me it was out there. Thanks for the tip. 🙂

jsbigs, glad the issue is resolved. I know what you mean about the "5". I had to move so much stuff to the cloud so I could free up space to install ios 8. I almost got a 16 again. Had it ordered with this phone, but then fate stepped in and I had cancelled my order due to a mix up with a conversation I had with Apple, and then when I reordered, I decided to get the 64. Glad I decided to do that. Now I don't have to worry. It is huge. I told Fayfromlos angeles that I'm having to adjust to the receiver being so far at the top. With the phone being so big, I feel like I want to position it better on my ear and then I can't hear the person. To hear the person clearly, when I position it over my ear, it's so far at the top, that I can feel it half way off my ear. lol I feel like the whole phone should be over your ear like a normal phone since it's so big. lol

I ordered a 6 Plus, 128GB, Gray on October 2...I'm still waiting. My order is still "preparing to ship." Are their supplies that low to make an order span over 2 months!? I placed the order through AT&T and they say it's Apple's fault (of course they do) due to lack of supply.

Maybe you should fix all of the "issues" before you rush a product to market. That way you won't have to replace so many phones, fix bugs, etc. (All of which add MORE delay to MY order).

It was supposed to ship between 11/11-11/18 then on the 18th it changed to Dec 12-19. How much longer am I going to wait, and what is Apple going to do to please all of the loyal customers that put up with all this crap?!

Apple is shipping their phones orders within 7 to 10 days now, from what the Customer Service told me one time, they have in stock and it's been shipped from the U.S. now, so I don't know if the carriers can blame Apple. If you read this entire forum there were people that recently ordered from the carrier and had received their phone already, and others that ordered before they are still waiting. I went to an AT&T store and the guy there told me it would take 5 to 6 weeks and that I would be better ordering from Apple and so I did, it was nice of him to tell me that. In the future the better option is to always order from Apple store, their dates are very accurate. I think most everybody here will agree with that. Hope you have your phone soon.

You are right! It's better to order through Apple, but I ordered through my carrier Verizon because I wanted to get the discount price for my IPhone 6+ 128gb gold/white. I just didn't realize they were going to keep changing the shipping date.

That's nice, defiantmacho. My 16GB 5 only went for $210. Thought we wouldn't be seeing you on here anymore. 🙂 It's hard to not jump in the conversations since we are the experienced ones and lived through all this. lol

same here. eventually everyone will get theirs. After two months I finally got mine last night. Looking forward to playing with it all day long at work today. It has been an experience. This is my 5th iphone and its better than ever. Def worth the pain of having to wait.

derickfromin, I ordered from Apple on 11/7. Had a ready to ship window of 3-4 weeks and a delivery window of 12/5 to 12/12. I got the shipping email from Apple on 11/25 - 11:15 PM that it shipped and gave the tracking number. First tracking post with UPS was 11/26 in China. I received it on 11/28 with expedited shipping. 🙂

I ordered from Apple on Nov 5 with an estimated delivery date of Dec 8-15. It shipped 15 days later and arrived to my town the night before Thanksgiving. I picked up on Black Friday. It was torture waiting because it was just about 10 minutes from me! Lol
